Customers enjoy the excellent image quality and bokeh of the 50mm f/1.8 OSS Prime Lens, finding it lightweight and well-suited for low-light photography and portraits. Affordable, sharp, well-built, and stabilized—can you really ask for more? The Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS is the best affordable E-mount prime lens Sony has produced to date, and the only stabilized 50mm f/1.8 on the market.

I am a beginner and still learning. This lense takes great pictures. The images are sharp and I'm able to produce good bokeh with ease. Highly recommend this lense, especially for the price ($250).

Love this lens. Any pictures look good when the background isn't in focused & your main object is clear and sharp. I mostly take photos of my family or food so it is perfect for that use. The only downside is that you have to be quite far from what your taking a picture of. So it's hard if your a dinning table and trying to take the picture of the plate right in front of you. I would have to put it across the table

I bought this based on a friends recommendation. He always takes such good photos. He also recommended that I learn how to shoot with a fixed lens rather than an adjustable one. I have already had a blast taking photos of my family and friends with this lens. I cannot believe the quality of some of the photos. It far exceeds my capabilities as a photographer and I cannot wait to use it some more!

I am a beginning photographer as it comes to things like sophisticated lenses and f-stops, but I knew I wanted a great portrait lens for my new Sony NEX-5R camera. The sales people at Best Buy were fantastic in asking me what I wanted to achieve from this lens, and showing me the way it would work. I have only started experimenting with the lens, but already feel I was steered right. Thank you Best Buy!

I added this prime lens to my a6000 kit. The pictures are clean and sharp for an inexpensive lens. Until I got this lens I only had a 35mm macro prime lens and wanted a little more reach and this lens accomplished that objective. I would definitely recommend this lens.

I have been looking for a prime for my a6300 and knew that I wanted to get into portaits so I knew 50mm was the focal length I was looking for. It creates beautiful bokeh, is fast, and is quiet. I am also extremely happy that it matches my silver body a6300!

Coming for a Canon system I knew I wanted a 50mm lens to begin with. Its very sharp, light and fun to use. If you love shallow depth of field then get this lens, you will not be disappointed with an aperture of F1.8.
I highly recommend this lens to anyone!

This is an essential lens for anybody seeking sharp images with beautiful background blur. The image stabilization is very effective helps at this focal length. Prime lenses may not be for everybody, but they do perform wonderfully.

For a prime lens this was a good choice. I read several reviews before selecting this lens and this one seemed to be the best balance of price and performance. If you want something with a little bit less focal length look elsewhere.
