I bought this lens to go with my Sony NEX-3N. Great for landscapes and wildlife. I used it this past weekend on a trip to Mesa Verde and was able to get some wonderful pics that would've been blurry with the 18/55 lens. One great thing about this lens is that it's compatible with the NEX and Alpha lines...you can also use with the E-Mount's but need an attachment. Great for people who may consider upgrading from the NEX to Alpha line in the future!

I'm a photographer. I own very expensive lenses. What I learned over time is that if you know what you are doing, the lens doesn't matter. This lens is durable and the autofocus works great. If you are a youtuber or vlogger it will get the job done. Dont waste your money on big glass unless you are making big glass money from big glass projects.

I was having a tough time deciding what lens to buy because in my inventory of lenses the only I owned was the kit lens my Sony Alpha 6k came with. I was offered the zoom lens with a package that would save me money but I didn't take the offer and regretted it right away. So finally i got my hands on this lens and I enjoy it more than my kit lens. Quality is nice and versatile. Definitely my favorite lens currently!!

This is on my A6000 camera and is small and light yet the quality of pictures at distances is great. The lens removes easy and the lens cap is not tethered. The sun shade can be attached backwards to limit the space it takes while stored. Manual adjustment limits the parts that break and the speed at which you can zoom. Less moving parts is better.

This lens is perfect if you’re just starting and would like to have a decent one to get photos from far away. Make sure it isn’t your only one, it is decent for sports events, but if you’re trying to capture portraits, spend a little more and buy a specific one.

I'm a novice photographer but with that said, this lens is perfect for taking photographs at baseball and basketball games. I would recommend it.

I was a pro using Nikons decades ago. Thought nothing could be better. Shot air shows for fun. With the software that cam with my Sony a6400, I was amazed at the quality of detail and exposure range achieved for my final image collections.

Great lens, shoots beautifully, and for someone who shoots a lot of video with my Sony NEX, this is a great find.

Bought this sense for my a6000. I have been very impressed with the performance. In daytime light I have been able to capture fast moving images such as birds in flight, and the focal length draws objects in from a good distance. My only complaint is the lack of a lock on the telephoto movement. As I walk with the camera around my neck the sense slowly extends itself to its' full length. I did buy it out of the box and this may contribute to the problem. Otherwise a great lens that I have travelled the U.K. and the U.S. with and have been very well pleased.

We got this lens because there was a special deal with the camera. Totally worth it, great zoom!

Bought this for a trip to AK. using on my NEX3. Good balance on the camera. Would be better on a camera with a viewfinder, but takes nice pictures with the NEX3.

With lenses you typically get what you pay for. This is an excellent lens for a starter kit with a very respectable range.

I'm an amateur photographer so I'm not an expert in any way. I have an Alpha 6000 mirrorless with the standard 15-50mm lens. This is a great upgrade to add some zoom to the camera. Shots are sharp and detailed at all focal lengths IMO. So definitely worth it if you only have the standard lens that came with that camera, or any E-mount Sony camera I guess.

Good starter lens for aspiring sports photographer, action shots are abit underwhelming just make sure your lens and camera are compatible otherwise capabilities are not going to be great

Yes you can spend more on a lense and you can do a few more tricks but for the price this is an excellent lense. Zoom lense have there problems some less then others but again for the price this is a great value. I not going to give you any more read the reviews. You always read one that trashes it and one the raves about it. Just remember it not a lense the price of the camera but it light and dose the job well.

Can't be happier with the photos I take with this lens. Sharp, great colors at a very good price !

Great addition to the camera, just bring with you, and whole setup is still smaller than our old DSLR
