Good TV for the price, plenty of good features, the stand & physical design are quite nice, the thin bezel makes the image appear to almost float sometimes. Quite low motion blur for an LCD panel (regardless of backlight method), and good input times. However, it IS an LCD (LED backlit), that means it doesn't have the speed or contrast of a Plasma or OLED. To get the best picture you want to turn the brightness up and have a lit watching environment. If it's a dark environment you end up turning down brightness then see the issues with the technology - poor blacks, poor contrast, light bleed, etc. If you're only looking to watch basic TV in a well lit environment, this is a great buy. Cinephiles or gamers who like to dim the lights may have complaints if they are coming from Plasma, as I am. But if you're coming from an LCD/LED, and especially for the price, it's really quite good and hard to pass up. (OLED is where it's at, but to avoid screen door effect OLED almost has to be 4K and those are quite expensive - if you have the money, go for that, drive down the cost and shift demand, if you are on a tight budget though, this W800C is a great set)

Replaced a much heavier TV (yay). Games look great. HD is crisp. Occasional blurring noted in movies, but not enough to ruin the experience. Horizontal lines can be pixelated, again, not enough to ruin the whole show. Overall good experience, but not "perfect."

This tv is perfect for my famliy room at home. It was replacing a 42" Sony LCD which was purchased 6 years ago. The other tv was being moved to the basement and it still crystal clear. Worth the extra money to buy Sony with kind of quality over a long time. The picture quality is superb.

I like purchasing movies over Google and have my Google music as well. This TV gives me access to all those movies simply by pressing home. The image on this TV is of very high quality. Definitely will purchase more Sony tvs

My other TV lost picture, too much to repair, so I went to Best Buy. The employee suggested this was a great TV and I bought it. It was so light I picked it up out of the back of my SUV. The picture is so clear. I love it!

I still can't get over how light this thing is. The smart features are really cool too. The added bonus of turning the picture off but leaving the sound on is really nice for when my dog is home alone.

So far so good !! I moved up from a 46" LG to this 55" Sony. Takes up about the same amount of space but has more screen area due to the thin side frame. Lots of controls to tweek the picture to your liking. Havent used the 3D so I cant comment but I didnt buy it for that option.

I upgraded from a 32 to this and am loving it. The picture is clear with the right settings, but for some reason the tv won't function properly with the Xbox one central hub commands (proabbly a tech operator error).

Picture is great when it has digital signal, I have Buckeye cable and they purposely de-tune the pic to analog to force me to upgrade to hdmi box. All digital content is beautiful and analog fuzzy. Menu is a bit clunky but works. I use Roku because it's faster and doesn't cut out on me. Great for the price $699

Great set, great price. I'll wait until 4K programming becomes more widespread. 55 inch screen fits into the same space my old 50 inch tv did because the bezel on the new set is so thin. Very happy with purchase!

Cannot go wrong with Sony products. This television is of high quality. Cannot complain about this one....Love that you can review the new 4K Ultra by going through the YouTube App. Not prepared to purchase the 4K Ultra, though. Too many kinks in this new product. But, please purchase this Sony/Bravia....

This is the first new tv I've purchased in years. I'm so happy with it. The picture is phenomenal! The apps are amazing! It's all around great. Only negative I'd say is the sound, it kinda needs a sound bar!

I may rate as a 5 after using it even more, but since I haven't had it for very long I left it at 4 stars. It is working great, everything I expected. Love the Android apps, and the wife and I very pleased with the way it setup quickly, and how easily you can switch between cable shows, amazon, etc.

Looked at several top rated tv brands and choose Sony over the Sansung. The picture quality is great and was a great value. Lots of hbmi makes easy connection and communicates easily to other Sony devices.

Getting this smart TV was a great move and I wouldn't get it anywhere except Best Buy. The sales associates are so knowledgeable and helpful. Love the picture, sound and all the different settings. Makes Netflix so easy. Makes sports games better than being there.

this has a nice bright picture and is wide. It was a little difficult to set up, with a confusing menu. It seems to lose connection to the cable fairly often, compared to our old TV. It seems to do the job as a TV, haven't really used the other features . should have more usb ports on the front.

Bought this as an open box item and couldn't be happier. The picture is fantastic while watching fast moving sports such as hockey or football. As other reviewers have stated the sound is a little lacking so will most likely be adding a sound bar in the future.

TV picture is excellent.. The sound bar is much better than we expected. We play CD's on our Blue-Ray and its really good - also DVD movies now have great sound.

Was going to buy a vizio. We have always had Sony products. This model caught my eye, and was a great fit for us. Great picture, have a sound bar but good sound without it. The set up menu is a little different than older models, but still easy to navigate.

This TV looks great mounted over our fireplace. We used the slanting mount which makes it easy to adjust for viewing comfort. We love Sony products and have always purchased from Best Buy. They have friendly, helpful & knowledgeable employees eager to assist!
