Let me start off with saying Iam a Sony fanboy and has been for years,,Iam very picky when it comes to getting a new tv,, spend alot of time researching , and finding as many reviews as I can on a product.. Even though the reviews I read were positive , I was still skeptical,, watching a tv in store only goes so far,, till you get it home and watch it on your video sources and in your lighting conditions.. I must say I am please , does have great clarity, and colors look really good,, to me the hardest thing for a tv to generate is skin tones for them to look real and natural , and with some calibrating this tv can do it.. Upscaling is also great, which I believe Sony is the best at.. You will not be disappointed with this tv , also sports look good too no noticeable blurring that I see ,, also with it's on sale price I don't think you can find a better bang for the buck in performance..

First of all. What I like about this TV is the superb picture quality. I did have to do much tweaking to finally get it to my liking. We recently watched a 3D movie on a Sony 3D blu ray player and this was fantastic. I have tried steaming 3D content thru my cable provider and that was not so good. And once the movie was over and I went back to regular viewing it left a strange ghosting in the picture. After trying everything to eliminate it I finally went completely back thru the setup and it alleviated the problem. The only other issue is that the apps like Netflix and others as well as the TV itself will drop the Wifi connection completely. This has not happened while streaming or playing games or anything, only when the TV is idle. One other issue is that the 3D glasses for this unit are expensive. There is only one model of glasses that will work but I feel that matched with a Sony 3D blu ray they were well worth the price. My Grandkids applauded at the end of the movie and that makes it worth it. Overall the TV is great, hopefully there will be updates to the android OS that will address some of these, what I consider minor issues.

I bought the wall mount with this, which also swivels to the left and right for better viewing depending on where you are in the room. This feature works really well for me, as when I am in the kitchen preparing meals I can have a decent viewing angle. The first one I got was mounted by the Geek Squad, who did an excellent job. Shortly after using the TV though, I realized there was a problem with 2 of the HDMI ports, which did not work. Best Buy quickly replaced the defective item with another new one exactly the same. About 6 weeks later now no problems with this new one, and I must say that the picture is absolutely stunning with 4K material, which is mostly on Netflix and just starting to get some on premium channels like HBO. Direct TV has a dedicated channel for PPV 4K content, but when I last talked to them they were still waiting on the download for Sony 4K TV's. Not sure how soon that will come around, but for everything else available it's a pleasure to watch and upscaling sometimes even appears somewhat effective with 1080i and 720p content. Very happy with the TV so far.

I had an LG 1080p OLED 9100 model. It did have the best black levels of any TV, but 2 main factors made me return it and go for the Sony. First even though the blacks are true black the luminous wasn't very bright, making everything look kinda dark. The next and most important thing is when watching HD programming on Direct TV the picture and color wasn't very sharp. To be honest my 70" Vizio actually looked better watching normal TV. Hence, enter the Sony, Blacks are good, brightness is strong, but the best thing is everything is up-scaled and looks amazing. Blue Ray, Direct TV, Netflix, you name it the picture looks very sharp. Side note I occasionally do some gaming and this TV is great for that too. I have no regrets, happy with my choice. Remember the demos you see in the store don't always equate to real life applications.

Incredible picture whether you are viewing in 4K, 3D, or regular HD! This TV has so many features and exceeds all expectations! The only thing I didn't like is that the TV did not come with Active 3D glasses. But that is detailed in the product description so I knew what I was buying! GREAT TV!!!

I am only put off by the setup process. I updated as much of the software as it would let me then I went through the fun of typing all of my account info into the tv and I had some issues. I called Sony and after 30 minutes of typing all the account info they say to reset to a new tv and update again and retype all that BS. I did it reluctantly since it was on the wall already. Once the software was updated and I turned off the Eco setting it really is an amazing picture the colors the depth of the black range and the clarity are far superior to Samsung and Visio for sure. Without the Eco turned off the picture was a bit dim. Eco off and auto backlight seem to be a perfect setting. Lastly the up scaling is quite impressive the old tv in the family room is looking dark slow and no depth of the black range.

The picture is outstanding compared to my older Sony Bravia 1080p. If you are happy with your current Sony you wont be after comparing the picture quality between them. The price was fair and probably less than my older models price. I did have some capatability issues with this new smart tv when trying to mate my Bose system with it. Bose techs got it sorted out though and so far so good. Only other issue I had was the stand. I prefer the older models flat base to this angled thin stand as it takes away space from my sound bar on my entertainment center.

SONY has once again proven to be the television to own with this visual masterpiece. The 10 bit processer turns up the viewing pleasure in many ways. It offers nearly unlimited opportunities to get into the guts of personal performance preferences. Setup is a fresh breeze. Two remotes allow for Internet use and fine tuning of this glorious device.

This TV has so many features (and 2 remotes) that it took me a little while to find the picture and sound selections I needed. However, after some experimentation, it works great in our family room. The built-in speakers work just fine... it can really get loud! I haven't used the 3D feature (not sure I ever will) but having the faster processing power was definitely worth the extra money; amazing picture quality and speed. I also love having all of my online accounts (Netflix, Amazon, SiriusXm, etc.) available at the touch of a button after connecting to my wifi. I was a little reluctant to do firmware upgrades. The TV prompts you every time you turn it on or off when there is an update available. It turns the TV off when it's done so I usually do it on my way to bed. 3 times now in a few months, so they are constantly adding new features and services. I feel guilty calling it a 'TV', it does so much more... 5 stars for sure!

This television replaces my previous television, a rear projection Sony television. With the increased acuity, less heft and beautiful color, it is a winner. Combined with its being a "smart" TV. it has opened up new vistas of viewing enjoyment and information for me.

After trying out several different models, both regular 3D, regular 4K, and 4K3D, this was the model I liked best. Some of the advanced settings can be a little tedious, especially when you have to enter them separately for different input types (such as the smart TV apps vs. HDMI inputs). This can be a very good feature though, because i have a slightly different setup for watching Netflix in 4K vs. my PS4 gaming. Overall, picture quality is good, and the upscaling is pretty good for the price range. Obviously higher end models will have much better upscaling, but it will be hard to beat this model in the price range. I also was really pleased with the 3D quality, it's hard to find a good 4K model with 3D without spending several thousand.

I'm a huge fan of this new line from Sony. The picture is stellar and the TV speakers are pretty decent but I'm going to buy a Sony sound bar. I'd like to see more apps come on board like HBOGo and more games but I understand there are a series of updates coming out. Overall easy to use and figure out, easy to navigate, features that are still coming out. Excellent upscaling. Decent out of box sound. Great TV. Keep the updates and apps rolling out.

This TV is awesome, my only complaint is TV speakers which are kind of weak. Picture is great. There are lots of features packed in so I'm still exploring all of them. Initial setup was very simple. Overall I am satisfied with this powerhouse.

Very pleased with the quality of this tv. For the price, it has tons if features. It was fairly easy to get most everything set up on it. You will not be disappointed qith your purchase

Have had this TV for over a year now.. upgraded from a Vizio 47".. Out of the box this thing was awesome, great pic/colors/etc as I would expect from Sony. Some crosstalk in 3D movies but nothing I was too concerned about. I'm a fandroid, so the OS was perfect for me... then..... sony released and update early this year iirc... and it blew up android so bad, the tv was almost un-useable.. slow, laggy, reboots for no reason etc etc.....I was almost ready to buy a 4k streaming box and just use the tv as a monitor.... Finally within the past few weeks Sony released another update, and so far it seems like they fixed all the slow/laggy issues that were previously killing the tv.... I think I'm back to liking this TV again. I would have probably given it 5 stars if they hadn't of 'broke' it for 6months.

My other Sony went bad after 12 years and I wanted the most updated tv I could get. This tv is just what I expected excellent picture and great features. I haven't tried the 3D yet. I will be buying glasses with the reward points next week. The tv is only a month old but enjoying it highly. I get Sony because the light from the window in the family room doesn't put a glare on the tv. When looking for a tv in a show room bend down and look at the lights to see if the are looking in a mirror on the tv screen. This tv dosnt allow that to happen it makes them look dull. I almost forgot the tv has a preset setting for viewing live football and I love the picture!!

Easy to set up and use. My kids love the ability to switch from tv to internet and netflix with one button. The picture is awesome feels like you are actually in it! we would definitely recommmend this to family and friends and in fact we have

3D, 4K,led, 120hz refresh rate, smart tv with an android platform and a whole bunch of apps. At the time I bought it, it was cheaper than a comparable Samsung. What more can I expect.

Purchased this TV for our living room and the picture quality is wonderful. Sony, as one would expect, really knows how to produce a high quality product. What I did not expect was the quality of the "smart" part of the TV. I have had several brands of HD TVs and normally my experience with the software part of the TV is not so good. That's why I use external boxes such as Apple TV, Roku, etc. BUT... this Sony TV is powered by AndroidTV which is amazing! The interface is smooth and easy to navigate. Once you log in with your Google credentials you have instant access to all your Google Play movies, music, etc. Google Cast is built in for casting photos and streaming video from your phones and tablets. You can watch 4K video straight from YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. I have been really impressed with the TV experience. I would highly recommend.

I've had Sony TV's for many years and this one doesn't disappoint. Great picture and sound (with my Sonos soundbar) and the 3D is also clear. Much easier to set up and calibrate compared to my previous Sony flat screen. Very happy!
