Problem with apps.

If you like movies that have a lot of dark scenes, you will not have to quint your eyes at all. Great picture!

Good Picture but prone to frequent restarts

Stand is sturdy 4. Has a game mode that dramatically reduces input latency Cons: 1. Periodically turns restarts after longer period of use (even after turning off various power saving modes) 2. Does not automatically detect when connected to gaming device and switch to game modes (which is required as latency is sufficiently increased in other picture modes) Overall, I have not been pleased with this purchase. Mainly due to the periodic restarts that frequently happens while I am enjoying content. It will freeze then restart and is good some for some time. Unfortunately this started 2 days after the return period. I will be buying a different TV to replace this one.

Posted .Hi AvgTechUser, we are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA 8 OLED, we understand that it may be really frustrating to deal with a TV restarting, especially while you are enjoying your content, this is definitely not the experience we want you to have. We would like to suggest some steps and settings you can try to solve this problem: 1 - Disable Bravia Sync settings, you can go to Settings > channels and inputs > external inputs > Bravia sync settings > turn it off. 2- Turn off Samba interactive TV, go to Settings > system > samba interactive Tv. 3- Turn on Simple IP control, you can get there through settings > network and internet > home network > IP control > simple IP control. 4- Make sure you tv has the latest software version.

Sony 55" is fabulous. I was very disappointed when you would not honor a lower price after purchase because I was not a member of one of you clubs which cost extra. That part I felt was not customer friendly!!
