I compared this TV among competing OLED and Mini-LED models and while it’s not as bright as some OLEDs and especially Mini-LEDs, the color reproduction and build quality won me over. This is especially noticeable when unboxing the TV as there are no creaks and the metal band encasing the screen adds a premium touch. While I’m not a fan of the interface, it is snappy and offers solid recommendations.

Great upgrade for Gamers

Good display for Streaming services only

The older one is a X80CK and the new one is the BRAVIA 8. I feel that both TV's are excellent in different ways. The older X80CK is much better when watching regular TV and when streaming shows on many APPS. The BRAVIA 8 has less quality on watching regular over-the-air sub channel TV Shows. These are typically older shows from the 1990's and older. Newer TV shows recorded in HD formats are flawless. In addition streaming content with premium APPS is amazing to say the least. Because the display has no blooming, my family room is darker so I need more room light the keep my eyes from becoming too dry. Lastly, the older set combines Pluto into watchable live TV channels whereas the new B8 doesn't which is why I prefer the older TV for my everyday TV.

Great Sony OLED TV

It continues to perform at a high level and the google software is easy and intuitive to use. Great picture quality and especial when viewing a movie with great film quality.

Great OLED for the Price!

The picture on this is excellent. Colors are brighter and clearer. Set up was very simple. I did not set up the Google part because I watch all my streaming through Apple TV 4K. A great OLED for the price! I have had SONY before and have not been dissapointed.

I respect Samsung, and LG is great. Even the upstarts like Hisense and TCL have impressive models at their price points. However, for me Sony processing remains second to none.

I have grown accustomed to the UI with Google TV, but it took a couple weeks. I love that it comes with PlayStation Remote Play built in. I can play my PS5 in any room of my house. Picture quality is great. Deep blacks, vibrant colors, and minimal glare. I’m not sure I understand the motion enhancement settings yet. But motion seems fine to me. I will be getting the Bravia Soundbar 8 to utilize Acoustic Center Sync. Can’t wait. It’s my favorite tv on the house.
