Fantastic OLED

I replaced a 10 year old Samsung 4K that was definitely behind the times and let me tell you… wow. This is my first OLED and it works so well in the basement room where I mounted it. Highly recommend this TV if it’s in the right space. I also got a Bravia 9 which is much better suited for a brighter room.

I bought the TV just before Christmas, and Best Buy had it installed the very next day! The installers were helpful and friendly, did the installation quickly, cleaned up, and took the old TV away with them. Great product, great service!

The picture quality of the Sony is significantly better than that of all the other televisions we looked at. We ordered online, picked it up in the store, and everything was seamless! The setup of the television is very simple. Our last television was a Sony and lasted 18 years, we are hoping for the same quality!

It was quite cumbersome to install on a table with two people. Setup was a nightmare. It does not work with cable company programming very well. It is not recommended for older consumers, due to moving from menu to menu. It is product more for the younger generation for video games and streaming.

Hooked up the PS5 & fired up some Elden Ring… wow what a difference. The palet of colors & contrast is astonishing. Never thought I’d notice something like the different shades of green from plants, trees, grass, etc.. Variable refresh rate is a nice upgrade as well, everything looks & feels buttery smooth. Watched Dune Part 2 in 4K last night & it was the nicest presentation of the film I’ve ever seen.

Is it as good as the LG or Samsung OLED’s? I don’t know, but I’ve always had Sony TV’s and they have been so dependable over the years, I wind up passing my older ones down to my kids. Sound from the set’s speakers is adequate for now, especially for dialog, but I will need to purchase a soundbar for Dolby Atmos surround and for much deeper bass. So far, I am pleased.

Excellent sound, no soundbar needed. Perfect picture. This is my first oled tv. I wish the remote was backlit. Other tv’s in house are Samsung, which are good too. But Sony raises the bar on so many little things. Definitely worth the price.

Picture is excellent as is audio, but it took a bit to get the bass adjusted to where I think it sounds best. Too bad they don’t come with instruction books like they used to. Otherwise I’d of given it 5 stars! Very happy overall!
