This is my first Sony TV and I can see why it was declared one of the best 4K HDTV for 2018 by RTINGS.COM. The colors on this TV are very deep and VIVID!. The colors on the sports events are unbelievable, same with programs transmitted on 1080p!. The only adjustments I made to the settings out of the box was to turn off the Motion flow to get rid of the '3D' and jitter effects on certain programs. The colors are getting better every day. Note that I had purchased two different Samsung 4K HDTV and returned them both because they did not have the quality of the picture that I am used to see with my 6 years old 50" Panasonic plasma that I moved to my master bedroom and still have a great and natural colors. If you are not sure about this TV go ahead and take the leap, you won't be sorry.

This is an excellent television with a clear and bright 4K picture. The Android TV interface is very user friendly and intuitive and excellent for a streaming TV household with digital antenna like ours. If you have cut the cable or satellite and are streaming TV through Hulu or Sling etc. then setting up with an over the air antenna for local channels works great. The Android TV interface even has a preview of what channels are coming in over the antenna on the home screen. Much better than having to change inputs as in our prior television. The picture looks great for HD and 4K content and gaming (we have an Xbox One). This television is a good mid-range price point for upgrading to 4K.

I had a first generation 4K TV and did not have HDR. With this TV I can see the difference in the colors. Also the Games look so much better. I also like the APPS. Very easy set up as well

When I initially got this TV, I knew it was going to stay in our master bedroom or make its way to the den where the kids could enjoy it. Well, it was a great TV for the room. Watching movies was fantastic. The HDR was good. My only gripe was the Android OS. It's really slow for my taste. I later purchased a B9 OLED and it blows this TV out of the water. For the price difference though it's a great alternative TV. The kids enjoy this TV now. We watched Coco on it and the Colors were jaw dropping on this XBR900F. The kids and I were amazed. I'd recommend this TV for a smaller budget.

I had previously purchased the X900E series TVs, a 65" and a 49", for my home. When my mother decided it was time to upgrade her TV, I naturally recommeded what I had. But with the new models now out, she was able to get a slightly better TV for nearly the same price as last year. And now she'll be getting Dolby Vision, and of course all the other bonuses that come with a newer model TV. I'm happy with my 900E TVs, so I know she'll be happy with the 900F. The 850 series doesn't have full screen backlighting, and the step up to the Sony OLED is over 50%. I think OLED TVs are not worth the price differnce at this point, so the 900F is a happy medium.

I only bought this tv for the hdr and saw a few reviews based on image quality with the ps4 pro in comparison to a similarly priced and sized samsung with 4k hdr and the works. Anyway, this tv is incredible. It must have some frame smoothing or something since it was noticeable as I watched a show similar to family guy. I haven't seen any ghosting or artifacts whatsoever. The color accuracy is impeccable. I mention the motion because the previous 4k television I had was choppy in comparison but I had no idea until I saw this one. Anyway, this tv far exceeds what I expected considering the size and price. 11/10

As my title tells you, i am not easily impressed when it comes to tv's. I could not be happier with this purchase. Absolutely beautiful picture. And so many settings that it's impossible not to find a combination that fits your liking just right. I have an android phone which makes this a plus. The software is superior to that of any smart tv i have ever owned (which is a few). Also, Gamers, i am a PS4 Pro owner. And let me tell you, combining that with this tv will be a feast for your eyes!

I had a 40 inch Sony Bravia TV that was 11 years old and still working great. Beautiful color, never a problem. I wanted a bigger screen and I knew I would go with another Sony. I purchased the 55 inch 4K Ultra HD. Love the size and I thought my 40 inch had the best color ever, but the color on this one is unbelievable. Many useful features, easy to use. I could have gone with another brand or even a cheaper TV, but I know from experience Sony is worth the money. I am very please with this TV.

Using my TV for 1080p content using a DirecTV reciever, 4k gaming using PS4, and netflix content using TV app @ 1080p and 4k. This TV needs ALOT of setting adjustments for each type of content you are using. Had to look up various setups online to find one I liked. 4k and Atmos content look beautiful and the TV recognizes this automatically and implements HDR, shows up on the action menu when it is turned on. 4k gaming with PS4 has minimal lag/unnoticeable. 1080p content watching DirecTV and playing Nintendo Switch games look ok but you have to adjust picture settings for each type of signsl. Content using the netflix app is beautiful. All programs on the TV execute very fast with no lag. TV connects to my WIFI ok but not 100% reliable. I've had this TV for 6 months and have had to re enter my PW 3 times. Not really annoying, just not 100% reliable. I would recommend this TV for sure! Match it with the 9000 soundbar and you got the perfect setup for a moderately sized room.

This Sony X900F replaced a Samsung 7 series 2017 model. All I have to say is WOW!! I know the X900F is a higher end tv then the Samsung but the difference in picture quality is unreal, I have a 2015 X850B 4K set and have always preferred that over the Samsung, Sony really has great quality TVs. The Dolby Vision is amazing and the HDR10 for gaming and movies is also outstanding. To sum it up this is the tv I’ve always wanted, it has a pretty much perfect picture once calibrated to your liking. I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a great 4K HDR experience.

I actually had Geek Squad deliver & install 55 inch 900F Sony. I did this for one simple reason. If anything was wrong with the TV, they would have to bring out another, instead of me having to make a return. The setup was extremely easy. I do not think it would be difficult for anyone other than a extreme novice. The picture is unbelievable. I also have a Sony 800E 65 inch. However this TV is so far superior. And trust me, the 800 is no slouch. If you are on the fence because of the price or considering an inferior brand, I would highly recommend that you reconsider. This is the best. The sound is sufficient, and very clear. I do have a Yamaha SoundBar, but only use it for Movies. So Built In Speakers are fine. I have chosen Vivid Picture Display. I always do. The Bright/Contrast/Color is outstanding. This replaced a 9 year old LCD Samsung that's still working. Therefore I think the additional price is well worth it.

I’m used to the roku tv remote.... which is basically like jitterbug cell phones for old people, even though I’m not old or technology illiterate. BUT! This tv doesn’t use roku so setting it up and even figuring out the remote is SO CUMBERSOME and IRRITATING. Like. If you had a house sitter chillin trying to watch some tv, they’d pick up your remote like “Oh, crap. Ugh.” Picture was great, although personally I don’t think the price difference between normal flatscreens and backlit ones is justifiable. It’s a huge difference in price for a MARGINAL difference visually IMO. Gonna stick with my cheap and awesome SHARP TVs with the sweet, comfy, and cute Roku remote.

I researched all 55 inch TVs available in the Market. Of course it’s doesnt match the black of OLEDs but local dimming does a fantastic job. The physical design of the TV is cool and setup was easy. I am not sure how android tv got its bad name but it is smooth on the X1 Extreme processor. The new update supports Dolby vision which is a plus. The inbuilt speakers are not that bad but you might consider a soundbar. I also considered Samsung QLED tvs but they have serious dimming issues and solely rely on high contrast to attract customer. I mostly watch TV for movies and shows so I am very much interested in the HDR formats. This TV 4K with HDR blows out in color saturation and depth. Sony is known for TV reliability for ages for you can trust the build quality. Pros: 1. Dolby Vision 2. Physical Design 3. Local Dimming 4. X1 Extreme Processor Cons: 1. Remote is kind of old design. I hope Sony redesigns the remote just as the TV.

If OLEDs are still a little too pricey I recommend the next best one which I feel is this Sony 900F series. I was stuck between this and the Samsung QLED but when I saw them side by side it was no comparison this one was the better tv. Mire vivid color and definition and Tre volume is pretty good for a tv. Smart tv works goid. 4K is beautiful. I was looking for a 10year tv and couldn’t be more happier with this one.

At first I was a bit nervous about whether the investment in this TV was worth it but now I’m a believer. The colors on this set are very vibrant. The detail is tremendous. We purchased a Harmony remote so I cannot speak to the ease of the included remote. The best thing about the set is that the picture looks great even with the light on it that comes thru the blinds. That’s the part that makes the extra money spent worth it.

Having purchased previous Sony 1080P TV’s for many thousands of dollars I wanted to find a Sony 4K tv that did it all and didn’t break the bank. This TV does it all and very reasonably priced for what it offers. I purchased the TV for $1,099 and I have no regrets and later bought a Sony 4K Blu-Ray player to go with the tv. The picture quality is outstanding!!!! OLED TV’s may have a slightly better picture quality but you will spend much more money. If your on the fence buy this tv and you won’t regret it!

Love this TV (55" version). Android tv is a bit iffy, but i use android phones so trouble shooting apps is pretty straight forward (only had to do it once with netflix app). Integrated chromecast is nice and works great. Sound is not bad for flat panel tv. I have a ceiling mount in my basement for this tv and looks great. Streaming 4k from amazon looks amazing. I would agree with other reviews i read that pretty much only use the cinema pro preset for all viewing and adjust the brightness and motion according to content. Only reason for 4* is price, but it is an amazing tv. Also hooked up sony upb-x700 (i think) 4k blue ray with hdr using dolby vision and its amazing. I wasnt originally looking in this price range, but having the x1 extreme gpu in this thing should keep it looking great for quite awhile. Overall very happy with this tv.
