The remote has to be pointed almost exactly at the remote port on the tv. My previous different brand TV was much better with remote. Navigating the TV menu isn't the best. Picture quality is so-so. Certainly not as compelling as what it appeared in the store. I have tried different settings, and nothing like was advertised.

As a lifetime purchaser of nothing but Sony TV's (currently five) I was trying to step out of my comfort zone and do something different for the master bedroom. Upon return of the Vizio I ended up with the 900F and haven't looked back since.

Nice Picture. 3.5mm composite input won't work.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The XBR-55x900f TV looks great, but even a long call to Sony Tech support couldn't get the yellow 3.5mm video composite input to function. I have old video game systems such as Playstation 1 & 2 as well as Nintendo. My own yellow, red & white composite adapter strangely wouldn't work on the TV. Back to the store. My salesman was great in helping me get an authentic Sony adaptor plug thinking that this was the problem. Tried this at home with the same disappointing result! Called Sony Tech support. The Sony Tech support people had me try many things including reseting the TV. They even remotely accessed control of the TV. No change! The video input wouldn't recognize a signal. My salesman was great in helping me exchange the TV. Guess what? The new replacement TV's composite video input still wouldn't work! The next plan is to get a HDMI/composite adapter and try that. I know everything is going HDMI input, but really expected the composite video input to function.
