*I purchased a refurbished model so that may be why this particular one was originally returned... may just be a lemon A lot of options for techies but kinda laggy It's not unusual for me to need to restart the TV like an old CPU if I try to switch apps too fast

After a year with this TV, it now won't turn on. When it turns on, which can take a couple hours of turning on and off the power to the TV, it works only for a while. Doing a factory reset means suddenly I can't connect to any extra channels, even the Sony soundbar designed for it. Total POS. I'm throwing it away, after less than 18 months of owning it, and going back to Samsung. The color is awesome when it works, but Sony is still a POS TV.

This TV's brightness almost hits 1,000 Nits & has great color, but the motion is bad. Too jumpy, then when it's fixed there is tons of artifacts. 2016 Vizio P Series had better motion than the 2018 Sony X900F. I exchanged for an LG OLED. Much happier!

Worst for watching sports. Doesn’t feel like Sony

I used to own a sony and it was the best and was amazing to watch sports. This one at $1200 bill is a flat out disappointment and sucks at every level for 4K and HDR and really bad for sports on anything for that matter. Vizio and even new TCL are putting out best quality these days and with Sony brand, specs and price this is a big time flop. The TV has all the specs on paper, supposed to be best in business but delivers like a $400 TV

We bought one of these 13 months ago. It went belly up and needs possibly two new boards. Unfortunately we thought Sony stuff would last more than a year and didn't buy extended warranty. Called Sony and they blew me off. Best Buy folks were very nice but they make you join the club just to get the Geek Squad to your house. So we are faced with a bill of $500 to replace boards or just scrap it - what a waste - and get something new. You need the extended warranty if you buy this thing.

Picture not as clear as in store and sport events still show hazy picture during fast movements. The TV also has a noise like it turns on and immediately back of when not in use.

I purchased this TV and set it up a week ago. It replaced a 5-year old LG HD (non-4K) that still looked really good. When I first turned this on I was very disappointed with the quality of the clarity and color of the picture. Over the next few days it dramatically improved and now looks great. I did not use the IR Blaster, so can't comment on that. The picture looks much better when looking at it straight on. From a 150 or 160 degree angle the colors are very washed out. Setup was a breeze, but it took me a few minutes to find out how to adjust the picture. Rting.com had only a couple things to adjust, and I turned on the feature to change the brightness based on the light in the room. Without that on, the picture was too bright at night, even though it was great during the day in a well-lit room. No lag or jitters on fast action, color is rich, blacks are deep, good detail in black. I just wish they were still making tvs with 3D capability.

Horrible Service, if you want to have a horrific experience then the Geek Squad is for you. I purchased an extended warranty on a 55” Sony Bravia TV through Best Buy. 2 Years in I had a remote go out, which shouldn’t be that big of a deal to get replaced under warranty. Well I was way wrong. I called to have remote replaced and got approved. I was told it would be shipped and received within 5 to 7 days. Three weeks later and still haven’t received a $30 remote. 6 calls more totaling about 5 hours of wasted time and I still haven’t received anything. What an absolute joke of a warranty service. If I could give a zero stars I would

It's the first Sony product that has disappointed me. I bought this TV for the BLUETOOTH feature. After 7 days the TV has no sound and the BLUETOOTH stopped working. I'll return it.

Require more click throughs that are usually 1 button click on other brand TVs, example to display cable versus antenna tv guide, need to click on action menu, guide, then ok

Great Tv With Some Minor Flaws

The picture on this tv is great. It upscales like a beast. Ive played movie files from an external hard drive and it really looks incredible. Live action is also really good too no annoying motion blur. Also the deep blacks look great. Im comparing this to two similarly priced Samsungs which I returned that on paper specs were supposed to be better than this tv but this tv leaves the both of them in the dust. My only three issues with this tv is the brick size of the remote which is an unnecessary step backwards, the fact that you cant select usb ports like the other device connections and lastly the smart interface is slower and has more issues with playback than other brand tvs I own. But all in all you get what you pay for with this mid range tv no gimmicks straight forward solid reliable high end picture. Sony you won me over as a future customer.

The back lighting was not very good and the screen surface was very uneven. Side by side with an LG the LG was the clear winner. Also it was thicker depth than most.
