This was a replacement for a Sony TV that only lasted 3 years... it was replaced on the 5 year protection plan through Best Buy and cost us nothing!
Outstanding tv! Unbelievable features and technology!

4k movies no screen adjust on xbox one x

Tv looks super clear and motion is smooth with little blur. BIG PROBLEM, YOU CANT ADJUST SCREEN SIZE WHEN CONNECTED TO 4K VIA HDMI, watching 4k movies. So your stuck with whiteish black bars top and bottom. I like to watch movies in full screen. See the movie as the director intended with black bars top/bottom not for me. Black bars look a little white, for the price if this tv this sucks. Will return , Samsung 4k let's you fit the screen when viewing 4k movies via xbox one x. So a 55inch is actually going to be a 49 inch 4k tv if you watching 4k movies. Expensive tv, one small huge flaw. Return asap. Qled for me next.

The TV is great but...

The TV has a great picture, and the processor is fast, but Sony is having a problem keeping up to date with current applications. I bought this tv because it is supposed to have all the current bells and whistles. 5 months later, I subscribe to Hulu +live tv only to find out that Sony is one of the few tv companies that still only supports their old app. Get with the times SONY!!!

I bought this tv to upgrade my already 4k UHD tv I bought from BB back in February. That was a Sharp that I paid closer to $350 for. This Sony is a good tv, but not great. After comparing the pictures between the two, I decided to return it as there was definitely a difference...but not $1000 worth of a difference. If you haven't owned a 4K TV before and want a good one, this is the way to go. If you have owned a 4K tv and are looking for a strong upgrade, this might not be the way to go. It would be worth it at a lower price, maybe a few hundred more than my Sharp but it is not worth what it's listed for. I set up myself so maybe I didn't get something right but I changed the settings multiple times and it didn't change that much. Moving forward I would have someone come set it up to make sure I'm getting the most of it. This is too much money not to be getting the most of it. I could never get it to hook up to WiFi completely, it kept going in and out. But my other TV was working just fine on it. It's hard to find a good solid tv these days where someone is going to be honest with you before you sell it, instead they are just looking for the credit of the sale.

Sony Bravia just died

After 5 years of fairly light use the Sony Bravia died. Everyone tells me there is no chance to repair it. Likely a power surge took everything out. And it was on a surge protector.

i purchased this tv on 5/28 and exchanged it on 5/29 for another one and then returned it for good on 5/31 the tv doesn't stand up to what they say it does i watched the rose bowl which i had recorded on my dvr to see how it handled sports since i am an avid sports watcher during football season and the tv is terrible with motion and judder i adjusted every setting with sony on the phone on both tvs i thought the first one was defective but the second one proved it was poor design only when a football is thrown during a pass it disappears and then reappears its completely translucent because the tv processors can't keep up with motion and when i player is doing a run it appears as if they are skipping like a scratched dvd because it judders very badly i have no ordered a lg b7a oled and it will be delivered next week so we will see if its any better but as for the x900f it certainly is not worth the money and you should definitely look else where brand and model wise if you plan on watching any kind of fast motion sports such as hockey, golf, baseball, basetball, football, or soccer this tv will disappoint you the sound was great from the factory speakers and the colors were vivid but there was a lot of blurring on the images even on hd channels around peoples head like led was 10 years ago I'm highly disappointed in sony i wouldn't give you anymore than $500 for the kind of image quality and motion processing this tv has because there are tvs at the $500 price point that I've seen that do it better sadly but we will see how the oled handles it when i get it but do you self a favor and don't get this tv.

Great tv but 2 things dont like but not a deal killer. One is sony too cheap to supply screws to mount the pedestal permanently. They send u to hdw store to buy 4 metric screws. Jeez. Second its setup for android and I am a mac guy but not end of world.
Pro is the on screen smart nenu is very good. Remote easy to work. So really 4 stars

Stopped working after 14 months...

I bought this Tv Black Friday 2018. I paid $1200, thinking I was paying for a higher quality. For the year I had it, the picture was great, but the sound would go in and out at times. Then all of sudden, it stopped working two weeks ago. TV completely shut off and never came back on. Thank goodness I had the 2 year coverage. Geek Squad replaced the tv, but I had to buy another 2 year extended warranty. Which was an additional $150.00.
Im hoping I just had a defective tv, but more than likely I will be going back to Samsung Q series Tv's.
These newer tv's just don't last long these days. Sucks.

LCD internal crack after 1 year 2 months

I bought this TV Aug 29, 2018 and paid a total of $1,407.24 with tax. It worked fine until I put it on a wall mount. It was on a 360 full motion wall mount since Sept 2019. I turned it to view a few times of course. But Saturday January 11th, 2020, barely after a year, when I turned it to view another angle, its LCD panel had a slight internal crack inside under my fingers. I was very careful with it when I turned it. This TV has very thin minimal edges for the cool look and it is unlikely to turn it without touching the screen somehow. I called Best Buy then Sony, I was told this is not covered under their warranty and panels are so expensive, could cost more than a new TV so it is not worth repairing it. Am I a superwoman? My finger pressure on a big TV could break its LCD panel internally when I was carefully turning the TV to another angle?! This product is defective by design and is not fit to be sold to consumers, especially nowadays, all LCD flat screens are mounted to the wall and some full motion. I won't recommend this TV if you plan to mount it to the wall full motion and need to turn it. I had an old 40" bravia for 12 years now, and just bought a new 65'' X900F and mounted it to the wall. You bet that I wouldn't touch it at all! I am actually filing a small claim for my 55" broken LCD panel X900F. My claim is LCD panels TVs are meant to be mounted to the walls and it should NOT break when you turn it to view with your fingers on it, they didn't even have a warning like this. I learned in business school that fitness for use is implied for any product to sell to consumers, this TV broke when I tried to use it only after a year, not because of excessive physical damage, but with fingers touching it for viewing angle adjustment. I ordered a 65" samsung for $550 to replace this and thinking that a TV is not worth any premiums if it breaks with a fingers touch and no options for even repairs let along replacement warranty. These LCD panels should have warnings on them such as handle with care - do NOT touch - it will BREAK or should NOT be allowed to be sold at all. I wish Sony would be made to issue recalls on these products and build models that are protected or at least tough enough to withstand a finger's touch.

I purchased 2 of these and both of them will not work with the IR Blaster on two different cable boxes. You can change the change the channels but cannot control components attached to start or shut down with the android remote. I have spent countless hours with Sony support which ranks among the worst. I might return both.

what happened to SONY quality and support???

I've had SONY TV's for 25 + years and got new ones as technology changed- never because they stopped working!
I purchased this model at this time 2 years ago. At about 14 months (just out of warranty) it started getting both verticle and horizontal lines that just continued to get worse, Now it's unusable. I sent an email to SONY from their support site to see if there is anything that could be done and never got a response. Products that don't last coupled with lack of support is has turned me from a life-long SONY buyer to looking to try something else.
After looking at various models I think it's time to try Samsung as they seem to be pretty highly rated.
Sorry to say SONY, but it's time for a separation from a life-long buyer of your TV's.

Do. Not. Buy. This. TV.!!! Read the reviews, look on Sonys own forums. These are trash. There should be recall issued for the Bravia XBR series TVs due to faulty main boards, but Sony is not standing behind their product and the repairs are expensive. I’ve purchased several TVs from Best Buy over the past 20 yrs from various brands and this is the first TV that crapped out on me within 2yrs of use. And of course, the manufacturer warranty is only 1 yr. This TV is not worth half of what they priced it for. I still two LGs and 2 Samsungs, and 2 Hi-Sense TVs that are 5+ yrs old and they work perfectly.

Huge Disappointment / Run run away

Interface is a complete mess. WiFi fails repeatedly. Internal speakers are terrible and it fails to stay connected to sound bar. So if you are looking for a big square piece of black plastic to decorate your room, it is fine. But if you want it for any other purpose like watching a television program, movie or other media, take a hard pass on this.
