If I could give this rate a negative I would, but I can't. This is the biggest piece of crap that I have ever purchased from Sony.

Was really enjoying the tv until randomly had some major issues i think panel went out thankfully i have the extended warranty and hear great things about geek squad not giving trouble to get a replacement i have someone coming Tuesday to take a look at it 1-30-24 so ill keep everyone posted on how that situation goes but ill leave photos for everyone to see what the issue is.

I recently purchased the Sony 55" Class X85K LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2023) from Best Buy, and I can confidently say it’s the best television I’ve ever owned! Setup was a breeze, and the Google TV interface is super easy to navigate, with tons of streaming options at my fingertips. Gaming on this TV, especially with my PS5, is a dream—smooth motion and a dedicated game mode make every session epic. The value for a 4K TV of this quality is unbeatable! One tiny hiccup: the remote is a bit confusing at first—felt like I was trying to launch a rocket to Mars instead of changing the channel! But once I got the hang of it, no problem. This Sony X85K is a game-changer, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. Five stars all the way—highly recommend!

This is my second Sony, last 120Hz flat screen from 10 years back is still running ! Love the picture quality, including refresh rate. I ended up pairing my Bose Home theater system with it. I also changed the stand to a table-top swivel mount- the original mount was not too stable. Overall, I love this TV. I hope it lasts a solid 10 years like my last one. I was not happy with Best Buy's customer service though: This was an open Box TV. The TV did not have the original remote (which I realized when I opened the box at home). Best Buy offered me an aftermarket replacement, which I declined. I asked if they can order me an original replacement Sony remote, which they declined. I ended up buying an original Sony remote online. Not impressed with Best Buy's refusal to make it right.

Almost a year later, this TV has really impressed me. The image is crisp, the colors are lovely, and I just can’t complain for the price. Sony is a tried and true brand and I think dropping a little bit more for something that should last longer is well worth it. Whenever I can afford to replace the one in my bedroom, I’d like to go with this one as well or at least something very similar. Highly recommend.

Great TV. Not much is broadcast in 4k other then movies and Sonys x85k and models above it have the best upscale available. If you are on a tight budget, and have an open box version of the x85k in your area go for it, no need to be worried about buying an open box tv from Best Buy, and you can add a 5 year warranty at a reasonable price if you have any concerns. My review about this tv is simple, everything works great and it has an amazing picture. Sonys upscale ability is not matched by its competitors. It also has a atsc 3.0 tuner built in for next gen and it’s panel has a 120 hz refresh rate which is important in 2024.

Great TV for the price. Easy to unpack and setup. The Google app store is a little frustrating to set up, but once done, it is easy to navigate between apps. The TV works well in a bright room, however the off-axis viewing is not the best. This is a 2022 model, I suspect newer models have corrected this.

Had a older sony in my room it was time for an upgrade. The120hz is always a better picture for some reason. I play my ps5 and watch content on this TV it does evrything i can asl for in a bedroom TV.

Sony tv best for the money, true blacks natural colors fantastic picture quality, life like, very realistic.

Fantastic TV upgraded from a Samsung 4K UHD , crystal clear , having google built in makes it super easy to pair with my Nest thermostat so I can change temperature of my home from my tv which is great, gaming experience on my PS5 is great , sound however isn’t the best , sounds muffled and not direct to you but TV is at a great price point , paired mine with a Samsung Sound Bar + Subwoofer and makes everything a lot better

Finally updated my studio tv of over 10 years to this one. The picture looks fantastic; love the apps that it comes with super easy to use. And of course a great companion for the ps5. I think the only “negative” is the controller, kinda annoying theres no numbers on it so theres extra steps to change the channel.

Absolutely spectacular image quality! Really love the features and apps that come with this TV. It's really been excellent for streaming movies and for Gaming as well!

Replaced my Samsung with this Sony television. Very pleased with the functionality and the picture. I deducted a star due to remote (no backlight display) and the speakers are weak (as most are) and will likely invest in a soundbar.

I have previously enjoyed a Sony Bravia that I purchased in 2010 - which is still working well. However, with new technologies it was time for an upgrade. TV Set-up was easy - although, it did require obtaining a new box from Comcast to support 4K. Required some adaptation for my old Tuner and surround sound - but easily accomplished with Best Buy's help and purchase of an Optical/Coax Digital-to-Analog Converter. Picture clear, colors great. Still have not figured out how to go from two remotes - Sony's and Xfinity's - to a single remote. All in all - absolutely love my new TV and the enhanced viewing experience for movies, sports and regular TV shows.

This replaced an older Sony tv. The picture is really nice but the entire family is not impressed by the sound. It doesn’t really have the lows and no bass. Our older tv had much better sound. We would only put the surround sound on when we were watching movies but now we need to use our surround sound all the time. I also hate that the remote doesn’t have channel buttons on it. You can setup the tv to use the Sony remote with your cable box but I don’t want to have to press a button and then scroll to the numbers on the screen. I want to just type the numbers in right from the remote. Also, we leave the tv set to hdmi 1 (cable box) but when we turn the tv on it is back to the home screen and we have to use the tv remote to switch it back to cable then use our cable.

Can't say enough good things about this television set. The smart features work well and are genuinely well thought out, gaming performance is fantastic, automatically recognized my PS5 and adjusted itself accordingly, the sound is above average for a wall mount style TV and the input options are fantastic. Would highly recommend this unit if you're really looking to get into 4K movies or gaming.
