Wanted a larger TV with up to date picture quality. Very happy and satisfied with that. Wife wanted easier use for different functions (Netflix, Amazon Prime, DVD, Cable, Apple TV) and this TV makes it easy to go between different functions. 2nd small remote is useless to us, but my niece (20 y.o.) liked it.

I bought first the Samsung equivalent to this Sony. I was told the Samsung was better and when I read the reviews for this Sony they weren't as great as the Samsung. But the quality and user integration of the Samsung was not up to my expectations. So I went back and returned it and got this beautiful Sony in which the colors, and sound are truly amazing and so clear, and its very user friendly. the 2 remotes are ideal! The setup was so quick, unlike the Samsung.

At first I didn't want to get the 3d capable version of this tv but after comparing the 2 versions in store I had to get this one, and I do not regret it at all. The speakers are surprisingly good, upscales everything nicely, the smart tv aspects are great like youtube etc. And anything in 4k looks unreal, kind of hard to watch anything else on other tv's now because it just doesn't compare!

The Sony XBR65X850C is an excellent TV. Fantastic picture quality. Great Android TV operating system, which has incredible amount of apps you are actually interested in using - for example, with the IPcam app, I could see my live cams on the TV. Too bad it doesn't have point and click remote control, which is definitely the way to go Sony. Active 3D was good, BUT here is no 2D to 3D conversion, which was deal breaker for me - don't see how they can call it a 3D TV unless it has this. Which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If you don't care about 3D, then this TV is fine.

I read a lot of news and reviews about this model and decided to get it because of the X1 upscaling, features, size and thin bezel. This price wasn't bad at all for all you get. Either way, once i finally got the right settings tweaked just right it really is a nice upgrade. Everything is more enjoyable. Coming from a 1080p 55 inch Sony to this 65 4k model was a smart move. Simply put, i can do more with this TV and i don't have to go through an XBoxOne or any other device to use the Netflix, Youtube, etc. They have a nice PBS App for kids that will be handy when you want your little ones to watch a quick show when nothing is on TV. I can rent PS3 games without having the actual console, all i need is the Dual Shock Controller. And i can share pics straight from my Phone for friends and family when they come over. The TV is thinner than i expected in depth so it really looks nice and not huge. The stand is really nice. It's designed in such a way that you can slide the tv with one hand if you wanted to angle it left or right. Most tv's stands are big and flat with rubber pads underneath and you have to lift the whole TV to angle it, so i loved that i didn't that issue with this one. Gaming is nice, as expected. But Madden16 still looks dim when i play it. I will have to change the picture settings to game mode when i play that game specifically. Other than that the picture is clear, bright and more defined on everthing else. Overall the XBR65850C is a very nice 4K tv. If you know how to adjust the settings to tweek the pic it makes all the difference. The delivery guys from BestBuy were really cool. They were on time and everything took no more than 10 min tops in and out.

Was looking for a new Sony 4K TV to replace a 5 year old Sony 60". I thought the picture sharpness looked better on the 65' than the Sony 70"' so I went with the 65". The blacks and the whites on this model are stunning. When a scene with a lot of whites comes on its like lighting up the entire room. The colors seem to be very sharp. I did do a custom picture tweek based on professional reviews and this made a world of difference. The upscale picture is very good, but the 4K is something to see. Just wish there was more programming available. Thanks for that review (rtings.com} of the TV which included the settings for the picture tweek. Couldn't be happier. I wasn't purchasing this TV for the apps, but I must say that I really am enjoying them, 4K Netflix and Amazon Instant video UHD, and especially You Tube, which Apple TV deleted on an older version. I do have the never version of Apple TV in my office, but only on a 40" 4K and I tend to use You Tube for software information and tutorials which I can view on my 27" iMac also, but so much nicer on the 65". Overall, could not have picked a better product. Must add that I have never owned anything other than Sony TV's and I've owned many, currently with four in the house. The only problem was with the delivery. The Best Buy guys who delivered the TV were not up to par on the installation of the base for this model, therefore struggled with it until they force threaded one of the screws and that was it, box it up and take it back. Had to reschedule delivery for a week later. No problem on the second set up. I had decided to do it myself until they convinced me that they new what they were doing, set up in fifteen minutes and good to go.

I purchased this TV after looking around, talking with several techs and reviewing specs on Best Buy and Sony web sites. Also read independent reviews along with personal reviews. Have the TV up and running for about 1 month and it is everything I was looking for in a 4K . I bought it mainly because it is a Sony and the color is better than other brands. The picture is sharp and the best I've seen, controls easy to work, was very easy to hook up and hang. No problems to date. Also have Sony DVD with 4K upgrade. Good compatibility with TV. Have not had any glare problems and focus is good even at angles.

This TV has state of the art UHD4K, very excellent picture quality, more than adequate HMDI inputs and outputs, easy to use and set up. All my other HD components integrate flawlessly with this TV. I have a 55 inch and this new 65 inch. Also does an excellent job at upscaling of HD images. Strongly recommend if you want a state of the art TV .

The TV was easy to set up. It was a lot lighter and thinner than my past flatscreen. All I can say is wow, what an amazing picture. Its very impressive. I can't wait to get the Sony DVD player to try out the 3D video feature. The picture is great when watching HD. Channels that are not in HD do not look very good. Playing video games on this TV is a whole new experience. The graphics for video games is very impressive.

I totally recommend this TV. The android TV works like a champ. The initial OS update can take between 30 mins to 60 mins, but after that you will be good to go. The colors (blacks and shades) are pretty amazing. It has two remote controllers, one is a regular control (no light, that is the only thing missing) and the second one is a touch controller with mic, google works great with the mic. You can configure the tv with the ATT-Uverse box so, you can use just one controller (sony controller) to manage everything (even my samsung home theather). it is a very thin TV (not the thiner one), with a nice and fancy finish (including the stand). You can control this TV from your android phone, throw your goggle account. If you like games, just connect a bluetooth game controller and use Play station Now, without need to buy a real PS4. I have not tried the 3D feature yet, but it seems to have the option to enable it whenever you want. Download the Sony App to you smartphone and use your phone as a remote controller. There are to many things you can do with this TV. If you compare this TV with a samnsung TV (same/similar Price), this Sony will beat the samsung in feature, if you want to get similar features in a samsung tv, you will have to pay more money for it. I have not had any issues with the TV at all. If you have Ultra HD Netflix, the movies look great on this Sony. This TV was totally worth it.

We were kind of looking to replace our old beast of a television but weren't planning on buying one right away. We checked a few places and then went to Best Buy. Of the TVs on display, this one had the best picture. It also at the time was the cheapest it's been and was the size we were looking for, so we decided to buy it. Before picking it up we did have a little hesitation that it was overkill - we'd never be able to use the 4K picture with the television signal we get. But we still brought it home. After getting everything all hooked up our son showed us how to get Netflix. They have a 30 day free trial so, what the heck, we have a smart tv now, let's try it. We're trying the highest priced level (since it's free...). Turns out our new internet provider's signal is 25mbps, which is the minimum for 4K reception. And there are 4K videos and shows available. HOLY COW! What a picture!!!! It is absolutely gorgeous! I was able to hook up our old surround sound system so that adds to the quality. The sound is plenty good without it but we have a big room to fill. Using the internet feed is confusing and we really haven't taken the time to figure it out, so that's the only negative I have. I'm waiting for the new batch of DVD players to be released to buy any 3D accessories, but I'm anxious to see how that looks. We've only had it for a month, but so far LOVE IT!

Check out this model in the store.....the difference in color/clarity put me over the top. Set up was easy and watching Netflix and Amazon Prime is much quicker and easier to load than with my last Sony. I would suggest buying the 850 model vs the 810 model. Very pleased with this 4k UHD tv.

My husband and I have been considering a new TV for some time. Our present set - Panasonic plasma (50") has served us well the past 10 years however its age was beginning to show particularly with dark scenes. Having said that each time we visited our local Best Buy, my husband made a beeline for the TV section of the store. There he repeatedly sized up price/picture quality/features, and each time found himself within the Sony display. Well come this Black Friday.........we took the plunge purchasing the Sony XBR 65" Ultra HDTV. The price (and features - NetFlix, PlayStation, 3D, etc) was just right. And not to mention - so was "free delivery." Once delivered, setup was a snap along with fine tuning i.e. Sony easy-install assistant. Wow. What a picture! To that end if you have been considering an 4K Ultra HDTV, we highly recommend the Sony XBR65X850C LED 4K UltraHDTV. You will not be disappointed.

Came with same warranty from BestBuy as a new one did! Stop thinking about it and get it, when more 4k content is available you won't be sorry

After searching and previewing different 4K 3D televisions, we decided on this model. We have bought LG in the last 4-5 years and both started having problems after 2 years (when the warranty expired). This led us to move back to Sony since we have had no problems with the television we owned in the past. We have owned this television for two months and so far no problems except for the user being technical challenged. Finding the Settings was difficult. The manual supplied did not give much information on how to operate the television. The NetFlix button was easy to work but it took my 8 year to get me out. It is better if I let my 8 year old maneuver me to where I want to go. The picture is unbelievable. Regular cable or antenna does not provide enough to make the picture outstanding. DVD players with HDMI or HD cable or satellite channels will show what this television can do with the real life and vibrant colors! Would recommend this to anyone! Hopefully, I won't have to change this in months or years to come.

We got this TV after accidentally damaged our 60 inch Sharp Q+ UQ17U. Sony is superior in any department- picture clarity ( comparing regular 1080p content) both TV's enhance 1080p experience Sharp by Quantum + technology and Sony by their X1 chip. So 1080p on Sony looks like 4k (not kidding) if you have good bandwidth you will love it. TV is good right out of the box and for now I don't see need of further calibration...which was the case with the Sharp. It comes with 2 remotes one regular and One Smart...which is not that smart...where is the right Click button SONY? I have excellent Internet connection wired to the TV and 4k on Netflix looks breathtaking. One major FAIL is that Sony does not provide a 3D glasses with this 3D TV....REALLY ...who does that these days. Unfortunately the TV is so good I can't pass on it even because of that :) I hope future update would address the little bugs that appear when navigating throughout menus using Smart remote...sometimes is super sensitive and sometimes not responsive enough, that makes me constantly switch between regular and the Smart one. All in all at this price point I did not see better TV at this moment - considering all technology that it offers.

After about a month of having the TV I got to say it's a great TV. I love the Android OS you can add other apps like Kodi. Picture is great. I personally like to use cinema home for my TV settings for TV/ movies. Some of the suggestions I've seen are just too bright in my opinion. The voice search works remarkably well. Blu-ray movies look amazing on this TV being that the TV does upscale 1080p picture being that its a 4k TV. There isn't alot of 4k content out there but I was able to view You Tube 4k content and it looks great!.

Love the TV, do not love SONY's tricks. 1st - the remotes: The traditional remote, the one with the buttons, flat out stinks. It's barely worth the enegy required to throw it out. I replaced it with an earlier remote purchased for $12.00 on eBay. The replacement controls my Denon AVR, my blu-ray player, and my TV. The included remote wouldn't even control my SONY bluray player, and the CSRs were all clueless. The second remote, with the microphone in it, is very cool, but for a $2700.00 TV, the materials feel pretty shabby. They should get their remotes made by Apple! The TV itself is really nice. It took a little fiddling to get the picture exactly where I wanted it. Be Brave: you can set any of the presets any way you want them, and if you screw it up, just reset the TV. Plan on dedicating some time to getting the picture where you want it, and spend the energy for the separate settings for sports, football, movies, etc., and you'll really like the variety. This was a pretty big indulgence for a device whose prime purpose is to waste your time, but it sure is a nice way to do so. Finally, if you're buying this set expecting to enjoy Picture-and-picture, forget it. It is not part of the TV, although it is part of the sales pitch. It isn't there. Bad SONY. Very bad!
