This is an excellent set that has performed exactly as advertised. The picture is great. I have a top of the line Sony 4k projector to compare it to and it holds up favorably. Set up was easy and I have had no issues with the software although I don't use it much as I have a Roku 4 for streaming. I have had none of the issues some of the negative reviews mentioned and have been using the set for two months now.

Out of the box just do the updates. Thought I'd be able to use it out of box but just do the updates fixes everything! Absolutely love this TV! Specially for sports and gaming this is the best TV you can get. You rock Sony!

Excellent TV, excellent buying experience. Shopped quite a bit, online and in stores, before settling on the Sony XBR65x850c. Ordered it for $2000 via my smartphone while standing in Best Buy 10 days before Christmas. Delivery was promptly scheduled, got daily messages (phone/text) updating & confirming the delivery time. Delivery crew arrived on time, hauled away my old TV, installed the Sony, and stayed until it fully initialized. Rest of set up was straightforward. Picture is fantastic! If it needs calibration, I can't tell. Located in open floorplan family room that gets a lot of natural sunlight. No problem with glare. I also got a Sony soundbar, which once I connected with HDMI/ARC its sound is controlled by the controls on the tv remote, so you can then put the soundbar's remote away. Some people have posted that frequent Android updates to the TV get annoying, but I haven't experienced that. Perhaps the fixes have settled down for now. Presently I receive digital over-the-air signals from the free broadcast channels. There are over 70 major, minor and subchannel digital channels in the Dallas area! All the major guys, CBS, Fox, ABC, NBC, CW, PBS, etc. broadcast mostly in high-def. For free! I have successfully used the built in Google Cast (ChromeCast) to wirelessly view content from iPhone, iPad, Windows PC, Android smartphone. Also native apps like YouTube, Amazon Prime work perfectly. As does HBO Now, which we signed up for the trial. My home wireless network is run off of AT&T DSL HSI Elite (3 up/6 down). Router is in study, two rooms away from TV. In general, I think the high ceilings in my living areas help with wi-fi receptivity throughout the house. Any negative items? No 3D glasses provided, Doesn't seem to have a good browser (Opera ??) And Sling TV (needed for ESPN) seems to hiccup occasionally, although that has to be a problem with Sling's infrastructure, since all other Internet streaming to the Sony TV works extremely well (as does wireless connectivity to other devices all over the house).

I reveiwed several models in this same class. The picture quality and clarity can stand next to any other in it's class, if no more so. I also purchased a sound bar, 3D glasses, and a 3D Blu-ray. The sound bar was the only item that was not Sony brand (JBL). The 3D experience was awesome!

I installed and set up the tv myself- easy as can be. Have not played with the display settings, but out of the box it is absolutely GORGEOUS! Extremely happy with my purchase, but beware...... you're immediately going to want to replace all the other TV's in your house. True story. Highly recommend- have always loved Sony TV's.

After doing months of research on 4K TV's, I decided to go with this Sony TV, 65" version. So far, so good. I have not delved into the Android OS much or the apps yet, but set up was easy and the picture is great. My first real TV 15 years ago was a Sony, and I'm glad I returned to Sony for my latest purchase. I would recommend to anyone looking for a 65" 4K TV in the sub-$3000 price range.

This television has exceeded all of my expectations. Set up was a breeze, connections couldn't be easier, it has more bells and whistles that I can count. And to top it all off... it has an excellent picture! Watching football in the "Live Football Mode" is awesome. And although I didn't buy it for the 3D capability, I've found that it is an excellent feature! I couldn't be happier with this purchase. And the folks at Best Buy were extremely helpful. Two Thumbs Up for them!!!

This product is very easy to set up with your previous entertainment system! Love the picture and the smart tv aspect.

This is a solid 4K TV that won't break the bank with Sony's picture quality consistency I have experienced since the Triniton days... The software implementation could improve, some services such as Netflix are spotty, it frequently runs into Wi-Fi issues only to find that the connectivity is perfectly Ok. Also many online services are slow. Android is not ready for prime time.

Love the TV but when i first finished college Best Buy wouldn't let me finance a pack of AA batteries. Now im an "Elite" member (whatever that means). Sick TV bruh, sick price (got it on Cyber Monday). Best Buy employees secretly vouch for Sony over other brands and for good reason. Thank homies.

Great picture and great features on Smart TV. It was easy to set up and the features are easy to use.

i have had this tv for about a month. It was easy to set up and the picture is great. 3D is very good.

I'm Very satisfied with this TV. I wanted a 65" Ultra HDTV. Anything else would have been a bonus. And there are plenty of bonuses including the Android TV software and 3D capabilities. The picture is excellent with plenty of saved picture settings. There is also plenty of settings to tweak the picture to your liking. Reviews on other websites consistently place this tv at the top of their lists. I highly recommend it.

The television is incredible! Not only does it have a great picture, but it was super easy to setup and learn. I love the new remote! The only draw back is the speakers. With a TV this thin and light, it is easy to see why the speakers can't be better. That said, they are serviceable. I have a Sony sound bar that I hooked up to the TV, so now I get that same rich sound I enjoyed from my old Mitsubishi projection TV.

I love this tv it has so many fun high tech features I highly recommend it. There are larger tvs but this was a great size for the price . high quality definition and sound. Excelent for sports the best feature in my man cave. I bought this tv with the help of excellent sales person in Best Buy they helped me choose the best for me.

The new tech in this TV is amazing this has everything from ARC which auto switches on your amp if your amp is also ARC compatible to the Apps and the user switchable inputs make this a great buy. Oh and since I didn't mention the performance is really great, the details even when not in 4K are clear and realistic. This one is also has future upgradability with 3D compatible codecs that are not yet fully in use but will allow the tv to continue performing when fully implemented and in use. Have Fun!

This TV has exceeded our expectations, watching movies, sports and TV picture has depth to it. Almost a 3D effect on movies. The speakers on the TV are good, but connected to our surround sound system makes it really nice. One option I wish it had was bluetooth connectivity, this would work well when walking on the treadmill and I could use my wireless headphones. A purchased bluetooth xmitter will remedy this.

Right out of the box, this Sony had a fantastic picture with excellent clarity and color. No need to adjust anything. Easy plug and play features. Upscaling does an excellent job of enhancing 720p signals. Sound quality is good but much better with a sound bar and subwoofer. When friends saw this TV they asked what brand it was. When I said Sony they said, "oh your definitely went for the best." They are right.

Setup was simple - follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. Had purchased a Samsung 4K last year but returned it as it didn't have the up-scaling feature. This TV is awesome, crisp picture, great apps (it's an Android TV), and it really cranks the sound when hooked via optical cable to my bose system. Excellent value.

We researched TVs for a long time before deciding to buy the TV. We are impressed by its picture quality, and found it easy to set up for non- techies like us. The remote control has great functionality and is easy to use, after a little practice. We are really blown away by its clarity, especially when watching 4K. It's great for both sports and movies. The size of TV makes the experience all the better.
