Decent Mid-range tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good bright screen resolution, but the blacks are grey in color and has backlight bleeding. I called Sony to resolve the issue but they told me the tv was performing within spec. Luckily best buy let me exchange the tv for an OLED. Best decision ever. If you aren't picky this tv is fine. However, if you watch lots of movies then you won't be happy.

Great Pic and sound! “BUT” Light bleed bad!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off tv has a great picture and great sound compared to other TVs. “BUT” it’s a edge lit display and if u watch a lot of movies or darker shows this tv has lots of light bleed in all 4 corners! It looks like spot lights shinning to the center of screen from all 4 corners! It enoyed me enough that I returned and upgraded to the full array XBR75X900E and no light bleed at all! And the picture is quite a bit better and clearer than the xbr850E! The XBR75X900E is what I expected from Sony not the XBR850E what a disappointment that was! Just glad Best Buy was great about the exchange and picked up the XBR850E tv when they dropped off the XBR75X900E and only had to pay the difference in price for the upgrade! THANKS BEST BUY! Now hopefully this tv will last the next 10yrs or more like my last XBR52”(it’s now my shop tv) and still going strong!

Well Rounded Sony TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't say anything bad about the aesthetics of any sony X series TV, as they are beautifully designed slim televisions. The reason I reviewed this TV as a three star is the low light images and shadowing. Sony does a great job when a picture is vivid and bright, but mastering the low lights scenes for this TV is difficult, especially being side lit. When playing with the settings and enhancing your black levels and turning off the motion blue technology this picture truly shines with color, but when it comes to lower light scenes the picture has lighting from all four corners making things washed out and difficult to see. The integrated smart apps, and screen sharing is still very functional and user friendly with this TV. This model is a pretty decent TV for the price, and would be amazing for someone who watches animated movies or sports.

Hindsight is 20/20
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The larger picture is a mediocre quality for a Sony (while being impressive to those watching on something much less) because its contrast adjustment capability is lacking. A foggy grayish black backdrop, for example, is not true black. There are also three distinct design flaws: 1.) When the power or cable goes out, even for only a few seconds because of a passing storm, the password to the wireless router/modem is lost -- forcing it to be reprogrammed from scratch each and every time this happens. That means if the internet goes out, regardless if the TV was on or not, you'll not be able to access Netflix or any other online venue without first going through several laborious steps; 2.) There is no direct access to the internet as previous models used to provide to surf the web; and 3.) The television generates an abnormally high amount of heat, which is especially important when the set is situated in a confined space. For those reasons, I would NOT advise others to invest in this unit when Sony can and should do better. As a result: I give this one thumb up and one thumb down. A carbonated soft drink offers a similar net effect after being allowed to set out for a while as well.. o_O

Great Picture, Mediocre sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product made me a believer in HD, large size TV. The clarity of the picture matches anything that I have experienced in extra high definition devices and the large size makes for easy viewing from many angles and distances. However the sound output is not up to the same standard of excellence.

75” tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture looks great. Directions are very poor. Ended up just using my Apple TV and my cable remote. Smart tv is worthless in my opinion. Disabled most of it can’t find the rest of it. Netflix button on remote works great but otherwise I could lose the provided remote and not miss it.

Below Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to purchase this television but was a disappointed in the picture and the processor. It was a slow to commands at different intervals and the picture seemed grainy at times even with major calibrations done. The design of the TV is excellent and the stand is sturdy.

Beautiful Picture Difficult Internet Connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV itself is gorgeous, sleek design, perfect picture, slim profile, everything you want in a big TV... Until you try to get to the internet. What should be plug and play has turned out to be just another day at work for this IT Professional. After resolving DNS issues and actually connecting to the internet I still can't get to Google, much less Amazon or other streaming channels. I have to schedule some more time to reach out to either Sony or Xfinity tech support and get this thing working. I'm sure once it does, it will be worth the effort, although it shouldn't be this difficult.

Good but needs to be better at this price point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid TV. The Bravia series has been good to me for almost 2 decades. But for a premium TV like this, priced around $2000, it should have every option available. However, I realized after purchasing it that this device does not have bluetooth. I usually use a bluetooth headset at night to enjoy the TV while everyone else at the home is asleep. I had to purchase a seperate Bluetooth device and plug it into the headphone jack on the TV to get this to work. The module itself cost me $30 so no big deal...but why would Sony skimp out on this on their flagship product?

Good tv for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this TV because we wanted a larger one and from our history with tv’s we know that Sony has a pretty long life in our home. When we opened the tv and turned it on there was a loud static sound coming from the speakers every time we changed the channel (and there still is) and we also thought that we would be able to mirror our I-phones to the tv. We are not, it only works with android. I think that the employee was more worried about making a sale than making sure we were getting what we wanted.

Loved the tv, but side lighting is a problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Put it on the wall and everything was great until it got dark out. That's when you really see the glow in all 4 corners. Couldn't justify spending that much for a 4K tv today that still has this problem. Had to exchange for different tv.

Great pic but only in bright rooms
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought TV because it looked good in Bestbuy. But got it home and did not like watching movies in room with no other lighting. We could not get the contrast right...especially in scenes that were very dark. So we returned it and got a Vuzio 75 inch .M series which works much better in dark room do its backlit technology
