Customers are impressed with the Alpha a6000's camera quality, ease of use, and compact size, frequently praising its lightweight design. Many also appreciate the camera's features and find it offers good value for the price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and low-light performance and autofocus could be more reliable. The telephoto lens's autofocus functionality has also received some criticism.

My wife loves it and so do I. Impressive piece of technology. I would buy this over a mirror camera any day. Very compact and travel friendly.

My First Complex Digital Camera

Since digital cameras have become the norm, I have stuck with the point-n-shoot Canon cameras (simple and somewhat inexpensive as technology changes so fast) but it was time to upgrade. This camera has lots of features that will take some time to get used to but already, I can see the quality I have missed by limiting myself to the point-n-shoots. Looking forward to taking this camera on our summer vacations this year. Battery takes a while to charge (charges while inside the camera via a cable-to-adapter or cable-to-usb). Definitely try and wait for the sale where you get the bag and extra battery for free - great deal!!!

My daughter did her research on this camera for a trip to Europe in 3 months. She choose this model after looking at a large range of digital SLR s. She chose this one due to functionality, size and cost.
She is very happy with this model and a good price point from BB

I bought this camera specifically to use on a Alaskan vacation, being a amateur photographer I can honestly say I was extremely impressed with the quality of pictures I took, the camera is light, more compact than my old Canon T2 dsl and amazing pics. Highly recommend

Review of Sony A6000

I’ve been wanting this camera since it was first introduced. I had the older Sony NEX 5 which didn’t have an electronic viewfinder. I also use a large full frame Nikon D750. I have over 14 Nikon lenses. The great thing about this Sony A6000 is I can use adapters with my Nikon lenses. Focusing is done with focus peaking. It puts a highlight on whatever is in focus. The image quality is superb! I hardly use my Nikon as it is so convenient to use the Sony due to the small size and weight. The little bugger can also shoot 11 frames per second! I’m very happy with my purchase.

I'm not a professional photographer and I need a camera to capture and produce photos as if I were one, so I purchased this one with excellent results! Food, people, landscape, sports, etc. AND video! Highly recommended!

We were looking for a good quality camera to replace a full size DSLR. This camera has done the trick. The camera is smaller, but not too small it is hard to handle. Also, we found it does not lack in features and image quality. We are very happy with the purchase.

This review only applies to all DSLR users that plans to transition over to the Sony A-series. I bought this camera and returned it the next day. DO NOT buy this camera. It looks good on paper until you've actually tried it. PERIOD!
Pros: price package <$1000 with 2 kit lenses. It has WIFI and NFC capabilities. It is portable and cheap battery availability. Fair pictures and can be compared to point and shoot camera qualities :). The low light quality is fair. If you are a landscape lover - you'll get away with the kit lenses. You can charge the batt via USB connection.
Cons: you'll end up spending more money on the adapter in order for you to use your old lenses or buy buy new e mount lenses. The pictures looks very soft and can't zoom to crop - picture quality is is horrible for a mirrorless camera. A Nikon D3200 can do a lot better job in general (trust me- I did a comparison - wit kit lense). All false claims of fast moving auto focus and fake 24.3 mega pixels. The camera over heats for a period of long usage - and short batt life.

This is an amazing camera. It is very compact and light. The picture quality is excellent as you would expect from 24 MP. The package price with the 55-210 zoom is great.

Nice camera with a lot of features. Definitely need to set aside time to play with all of the settings. Nice, simple design and not bulky like any other DSLR. One thing I don't is how easily the natural oils in your skin kind of stains the screen and viewfinder.

I did a lot of research on what first real camera I was going to buy. I originally bought the Nikon d3400 that I will say takes amazing photos and is super easy to use. But after a short while I was familiar with a lot of the manual settings and terms and felt like I needed to learn a lot more. So far I am beyond happy with this camera. I started all this because I got big into drones and aerial photography and videography and I wanted to be able to capture just more than aerial footage. This camera is teaching a lot about photography and I am extremely happy I exchanged then d3400 for the Sony a6000

Bought this on sale during Black Friday and it has not disappointed. It's lightweight and easy to carry for extended backcountry trips, not to mention the space savings. Camera seems alright, especially with the 55-200 mm lens. Get yourself a prime lens for low light situations.

So far we really enjoy
this camera. I bought it as a birthday gift for my wife. Although this is just a preliminary review, so far I would strongly recommend it. The camera takes great pictures and if you buy the kit it comes with detachable lens.

I had and still have a Canon DSLR camera, for which I paid about $1,300, but was not happy with the speed of the lens or the quality of the photos. After reading positive reviews about the Sony a600, I purchased a bundle of camera body and two lens providing capability of 18 to 210 mm, for about $700. After a trip West and many photos, indoors and out, I could not be more pleased . The camera is light weight, the lens is fast, and the photos are sharp. Camera settings are complex and will take some study and experimentation, but the camera works well enough in auto setting.

I was searching for a camera with the fastest frames per second in order to capture some of my paintball games. This camera is able to get excellent shots of fast moving subjects and with clear / crisp photos.
I got it with the 55-210 mm lens and it is able to zoom in across the field to get awesome shots.
This camera is easy to use and takes excellent pictures. The video feature I have not used much but I can tell it takes smooth video. I need to try it with a tripod but I know it will perform.
I am very happy with this purchase!

The A6000 is now four years old, and certainly the A6300 or A6500 are good improvements, yet the A6000 is still an awesome travel camera at more than 1/2 the price when bought in a bundle. I shoot a full size Nikon and bought this camera to have a good quality, small camera for international travel. I am impressed with its performance, and since I am not all that interested in the video capabilities, the lack of ability to add an external mic in not a drawback for me. Good value, good product, right size for my need.

This is a great camera. I am a Nikon Owner, this was for my girlfriend who wanted something less bulky and easy to use. Takes amazing pictures. Great size and powerful for the price. Definitely good if you're looking for something easy to use thats literally point and shoot.
