A must have for A mount and Minolta lenses
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an A55 as first Sony A mount camera, upgraded to A77 both APSC sensors but great for sport shooting. Bought Zeiss lenses and G branded. From 24-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8 and a even a 70-400. A few Primes 135 1.8 and a 50 f1.4 they were all for full sensor. so I decided to make the big purchase and got the first gen A99. I was super happy and the performance of the camera with those lenses was unbelievable. Then this miracle came out and now I'm as happy as I can be for my photography needs. I shoot portraits, landscape, sport and wildlife. The performance and the all around versatility in low light conditions for focusing and ISO performance are great. Truly happy with my camera. I had it for over 2 years now and I'm still holding off on switching to E mount.

I don't extensive research on this body and compared it to the a99 before making the decision. I'm so glad that I did! The focusing speed is fantastic and the low light capabilities are exactly what I was looking for. It's quite different from my a580 but that's definitely a good thing! Highly recommend.

But if youre looking at picking up the 99ii you are pretty much into photography and knoooow what youre getting yourself into! For us long time Alpha users...this is a gem! Been using it for a couple of months now and I can say that I am beyond thrilled! The focus points are so amazing that there is a bit of a learning curve!

I just love how this camera feels: solid, good ergonomics, great resolution and...full frame sensor.

I have used the A77 and A77ii both great cameras, but the A99ii is a fantastic upgrade. I don't regret the purchase at all. I do wildlife photography and occasionally a wedding.
