This machine produces great video and great sound. It has been very good for streaming from the Internet. The only negative I have seen has been an Occasional video freeze While streaming. This is fixed by turning the machine off and then back on after waiting a few seconds. This seems to happen once or twice a month.

It performs well. The interface is user-friendly and I really appreciate its compact size. It feels cheaply built though, the little plastic flap looks like it will be break in no time. I've only had it for a month so can't speak for durability - if it does last I will update my review. Overall pleased, and would recommend it.

I had an older unit from Sony that needed replacing. I was open to pretty much any manufacture or model, but when it came right down to it, I ended up selecting a newer model of the same unit. Nothing new to learn, so I was back up and running in no time!

Had a combo player that did not play Blu-ray. Like that it is compact in size for the location it's at. When I turn it on my SmartTV picks up the source right away so no need to grab a different remote. Plenty of functions to choose from for your viewing habits.

We purchased this to play our Blu-ray DVDs and have been happy with its performance so far. It also has streaming capabilities but we're currently not using it for that purpose as we already have a Roku device. It will serve as a backup for streaming if the Roku fails.

I am very impressed with every Sony purchase that I have ever made. It plays both blu rays & dvds, can stream from so many apps & works great with our Sony 4K tv. We don't even need all the apps since we have a smart tv but this would be perfect for a tv that doesn't already have streaming capabilities!

Fits nicely on the TV stand, doesn't take up much room at all. DVD video is very clear. Streaming apps work well also. No buffering issues on my home wireless network at all. I recommend this Blu-ray and DVD player for its performance and overall value. Money well spent!

So far it works pretty well! It is comparable to 4k players. It isnt as high res but it is pretty good for what it is---especially if you're trying to save a buck. I havent had any problems with it thus far. I dont use any of the internet capabilities though.

My children enjoy our extensive Blu-ray Collection & I wanted something they could operate with ease. Set up was quick & easy. It came with preloaded apps so we are able to stream from our Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, etc. I most likely will purchase a 2nd for the guest room.

Easy to set up. Plays normal DVD and Blue Ray. Very small box to fit in cabinet or above other devices.

the blue ray was easy to set up and picked up all the app's that we were looking for for streaming. I also thought that it was compared to other's price wise as a very good buy. I would recommend this blue ray to everyone.

Bought this blu-ray player for an older non smart tv. Nice thing with this player is you can download apps and stream through your wi-fi and in a sense turn your older tv into a smart tv. Picture quality is very good as well.

Works great for the price. If you need a 4K player and do not want to spend your entire stimulus check, this unit will do the job. Even better, this was an open box item. Sony has always been a good product at a great price.

This Bluray player is easy to set up and use. I didn't read the manual or even look up directions on YouTube. I just plugged it in and played around with the menu. Fairly intuitive if you'd like a simple wifi-enabled, Bluray player.

Wanted a solid performer that provided excellent performance at a good price. This player exceeded my expectations and does triple duty as a DVD/CD/Bluetooth player. Easy set up and usage with a solid app grouping to start. No negative issues whatsoever...

Really good good size fits good real easy set up. played youtube netflix tubi on it its good haven't done amazon prime yet the only thing thats not on here is hulu and haven't played a bluray or dvd movie yet but other wise really good.

I was looking for a decent Blu-ray player for a new TV I had purchased that was going to be simple yet of good quality. I had purchased an older version of this player & have had really good luck with it, so when I saw this one, it was a "no-brainer" for me. I'm one of "those people" who own hundreds of movies both on DVD & Blu-ray. I'm really amazed by the picture quality that comes from this little player! It truly rivals that of my 3X more expensive Sony that I have in my living room. Startup takes a little more time...maybe 5-10 seconds...but really a nice picture, so just no room for complaints. Add in the Open-Box deal that I received from Best Buy & I'm a very happy customer! Thanks Best Buy!!
