I bought this to be able to watch my old dvds as well as the blu-ray discs I have and will buy. I bought a 4K tv and the ability of this player to upscale to 4K makes it really worth it. It also gives the ability to stream making a streamer unnecessary. Great product.

I bought this to replace a 2 year old Sony BDPS-3500 Blu-ray that was starting to have some freezing issues. It worked well enough otherwise, but the freezing was intermittent and annoying. I've been a Sony fan since I've been buying electronics, so I stayed with Sony for the replacement. I have no idea what the life expectancy of one of these things is, based on watching 2 or 3 movies a week (disc, not streamed), but the players aren't awfully expensive and it seemed more time-effective to simply replace it than to spend hours trying to research the problem. Setup was quick for me, less than 10 minutes. I swapped out the power supply, unplugged the old player and used the existing HDMI cable. Turned it on and accessed the setup menu, connected it to the network and did updates. Internet content updated quickly, firmware was current. Done. I only use it for playing DVD's and BluRay, no streaming, so I can't comment on that. It plays the discs perfectly well with no freezing or any kind of issues after 2 months. One other thing I did with this one that I never did with the other one was buy a laser cleaning disc. Depending upon which expert you listen to, the consensus is to clean the laser head every 10 hours of playing time. I have no idea if it will help or not, and won't know until I have problems. Otherwise, so far, so good.

Nice little unit, excellent quality just what you'd expect from Sony. Streaming, quick setup, responds to all types of DVDs. Great price. owned for 1 year and 3 months no issues.

Bought this to replace an older version Sony device. So far, I'm quite pleased with the quality and performance of this model. It seems to be much more compatible with other newer generation devices, such as the cable box we recently had to upgrade.

I bought this to go with a Sony TV. The set-up was easy. The remote is easy to use. It plays Netflix and Amazon Prime without buffering issues. I love how you can hit the power button and it automatically switches the input on the TV. Blu-ray and DVD playback is great.

Nice small footprint, great picture and apps all work well. Remote is small with small and compact buttons so lowlight operation is difficult. Have set it so that most functions work on my Samsung TV remote.

My old DVD Blu-ray player died. This one is so much smaller and faster, I wish I would have upgraded earlier. Netflix has a dedicated button on the remote! The 4K Upscaling picture is great! HDMI and Digital Coaxial Audio are perfect for my existing system.

got it for work since I work at a audio/video medical device manufacture. works great. we like the 4k upscaling since it helps give out a higher resolution picture to our product. works great with or without the wifi.

I needed a small DVD player for a kitchen TV. This product is perfect. It has all the functions I needed, was easy to hook up and has great picture quality. I definitely recommend this DVD player.

Love the picture quality of the DVDs we are running through our Sony - BDP-S6700 Streaming 4K Upscaling Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player. We are able to stream Netflix, which is a pretty cool feature. The Blu-ray was on sale and we got a really good deal. Thanks!

I bought this as a Christmas Gift for my daughter and it is great.

Although this box has big bold letters proclaiming Streaming 4K Upscaling, it is not a 4K blu-ray player so it will not play 4K blu-ray discs. The 4K only applies to the streaming apps. I should have read the reviews before I purchased. The packaging is very misleading. I returned it and bought a 4K blu-ray player.

I chose this Blu-Ray player for a great array of features, including the up-scaling, the WiFi connectivity, the connectivity with my HDTV controls, and the loaded apps. Unfortunately, my device started having trouble with playing Blu-Ray discs almost immediately. The Sony support was very helpful in stepping through several diagnostic and troubleshooting steps, but I've now sent the device back for a replacement. I'll see if I can come back to update this once I get the new device...

If you just need a basic blu-ray player then this is the one for you - its compact so it takes up just a little room, and the picture quality is lovely. Plus the big draw for me is that it plays blu-ray 3D discs, which is a dying breed. Very happy!

Was not really a fan of Sony, but, this Blu- Ray Player changed my mind. Very easy to use and set up. Great picture quality, good price, and has performed wonderfully. Highly Recommend.

Nice compact blu ray DVD player allows me to connect directly to the internet for all my streaming channels. Excellent picture quality and easy to set up.

I purchased this since our old blu ray player died and we purchased a 4K TV. This a great upgrade! It's not a 4K player but the upconvert suits us just fine.

Had read several on-line reviews of Blu-ray players. This seemed to meet all my requirements. Easy to hook up and as all I want it to do is play Blu-rays, it does that fast and accurately. No glitches or falters. Excellent picture on my Sharp LED TV

Great purchase, I love my new Sony Blue--ray player in 4K. The picture is so clean and bright. Now I realize what I was missing from my old player. I am using the Sony on my new Sony TV, WOW!
