This Blue-Ray player will do all that a person needs to play discs as well as all the streaming they will ever need. I actually have two of these for that I use. One in the bedroom and one in the family room in combination with a Denon receiver and a Sony 65" television. I have had several Sony products in the past and have never been disappointed with any of their products.

This DVD player is compact and has excellent playback features. It is also Bluetooth capable and has a screen mirroring option to show your cell phone screen on your TV. We used this unit to show movies to our race team outside our trailer on a large Flat Screen Monitor and then to show a live feed of the race from a cell phone. I purchased this for my Grandmother who still has a significant amount of DVDs that she likes to view. It couldn't have been easier to setup and configure. Also she was able to learn the remote pretty fast. The picture quality is great even on older non smart tvs.

My daughter's blue ray went out in her room. No big deal right? Wrong that how she falls asleep at night. So I bought this one and it works well and does its job. Where it falls short is in the app department I was hoping it had youtube kids and Disney+ on it. But it does not and after talking to soney there are no plans to add them.

I did not need an elaborate Blu-ray Player and yet I did not want a piece of junk. Sony has good products, so I took a chance on the Sony BDP-S6700 Blu-ray Player. I can link apps and watch YouTube and other applicable apps. It is small so it does not take up a lot of space. The only downside is that it is missing the display on the unit. Otherwise, it works fine.

Just want a machine to play DVDs. This Sony does way more than that. I wish DVD players had better controls, a few buttons on the machine itself. They seem to be little more than an internet interface. Oh well, It does what I wish: plays DVDs.
