This center speaker is a great choice for the value I paid. It sounds really good and is an upgrade from what I had.

The ratings on YouTube were excellent and they were not wrong! Matched with the Sony - STRDH790- 7.2-Ch. with Dolby Atmos & Dolby Vision 4K Ultra HD HDR A/V Home Theater Receiver - Black - they are fabulous.

Puts out great sound for are tv and surround sound

Bought as a set with the receiver and tower speakers. The center speaker carries the majority of the monologue from the tv and this speakers remains pretty clear at high volumes. Definitely recommend if you're building a "small surround sound system" I only have this speaker and the two towers and it seems sufficient

I purchased this center to match the Sony Core Bookshelf speakers.. which I find those speakers to be pretty darn good at a ridiculous low price when on sale, but I am here to give my opinion on the center channel. First off it's a 2 way design..basic 2 different drivers, woofer n tweeter. From my experience 3 way speakers seem to sound best as center channels. That rule seems to apply with this Sony Center as well. Initially I liked the speaker, especially the price point. As I continued to use it daily I was having a hard time hearing male voices, especially if the actor had a deep voice. I just couldn't make out what they were saying all the time. I had the speaker hooked up to the newer Denon AVR-S660H with the Center channel Voice enhancement on the highest level. I also set the speaker up thru the Audessey, which is supposed to make everything sound great in the room it's set up in. I even tried to play around with the controls manually and still couldn't find the sound I'm looking for. I ended up returning the speaker. To me the center channel is probably the most important speaker,it is the one that must be as close to perfect when watching movies or TV. For the price this is a very capable speaker, many people love it, just read the reviews...I just needed something better. If your main purpose is watching TV and movies, build your system around your center channel. Find the center that has the sound you like and then get your surrounding speakers off that choice. Very easy set up. Great addition to existing surround sound system. Really balances vocals.

Very loud speaker, but makes the dialogue in movies crystal clear. I was having trouble hearing voices during movies and turning the volume up made the action scenes way too loud. This balances out my speaker set up so that I can enjoy movies without having to adjust the volumes up and down. I bought this Open Box - Satisfactory, and it was pretty much brand new.

I've been using Sony speakers for a long time. I got this for a new 5.2.2 setup and compared it to an SS-CR3000 I purchased in 2012 I'm using on another setup. It's much bigger and the sound is a significant improvement. This speaker is very good with dialogue. It sounds clear and crisp. Definitely a good value for the price.

Clear voices so good choice. Loud enough for a large room.

For those of you like me, that want a GREAT center speaker, this is the one for you. So many of my friends have center speakers that "echo" or take over all the sound even when connected to home theater systems. This delivers clear, quality sound. It was too large to fit in front of my screen, but even with me installing it behind the screen, the sound is clean, clear, and crisp. Totally recommend.

I brought the Sony CS8 from Best Buy for $75 dollar open box! Great sounding speaker! Has a nice cabinet and connections. I also brought the Polk T30 speaker for a comparison. The Sony CS8 outperformed the Polk T30 in my setup. The Polk speaker is an very good speaker but the sony SSCS8 series is superior in sound quality.

I've had a couple of mid/upper range sound bars, and I wasn't sure how noticeable the step up to the 5.1.2 Sony receiver system would be. Umm...it's noticeable! This center speaker delivers such crisp, clear sound. I'm very happy with the purchase!

Big time upgrade from my previous center speaker. Speech is much clearer and just can't beat sony. Size is big! And looks a little old school
