This center channel has great sound. Delivers enough lows to bring the clarity needed without compromising the sound with to many highs.

I upgraded my system that was 20 years old. I wanted Atmos sound. I bought this in addition to four Sony Atmos enabled speakers for my Sony STR-DH790 7.1 Receiver. It works great in my space and the sound is wonderfully inviting. I use it as part of a 5.1.2 pattern. Gaming sound is also amazing.

Bought this speaker to upgrade my previous Sony center channel. This is a bit bigger but the sound is really good. Happy with this product

Sony does it again! I got this connected to my Sony receiver and Polk audio speaker with a Sony Sub woofer and Boy what a theater!! Sound is so clear when speaking from Center speaker would recommend for any one needing one.

Bought this receiver to replace an old Pioneer product. I was not disappointed. The receiver delivers terrific sound and was easy to hook up.

I'm using these speakers as an upgrade to the tiny satellite speakers found in my Yamaha Home Theater System YHT-399UBL. I also got the Sony Core bookshelf speakers and together they now make up the front left, center, and right of my 5.1 speaker setup (other speakers are still the Yamaha supplied ones). The sound quality from these speakers is excellent for the money, size, and for my purposes (watching BD movies, Netflix streaming, console gaming, and some HD cable TV watching). Music also sounds great, though I don't use it much for that (unless you count music in movies and games). One thing worth mentioning is right now the sub woofer I'm using is not able to compete with these speakers too well and so the low end seems to be lacking vs. the mid range and high end. That's not a fault of these speakers, just the sub woofer's limitations (50 watts RMS, 8-inch driver). So, I'll need to upgrade the sub woofer so that the low end can match the great mid range and high end these Sony Cores can provide. For that, I'm looking at the Dayton Audio SUB-1200, which sells for around $125 and has 120 watts RMS and a long throw 12-inch driver.

This speaker is fantastic. Bought it after returning a soundbar system. Speaker has very clear sound quality. My wife had no clue that the sound would make a different with this speaker vs the soundbar. She was blown away and so was I. And to top it all off, I was $80 during Black Friday. Qudos to me!!!

Great balance speakers, they add that central stage lacking from the TV.

For the price, this speaker delivers. While I personally think it is a little big overall, the sound produced is crisp and clear. Its great for voice tones and its not too much bass. They are smaller tweeters than what you find in some other copper plated expensive eye candy speaker pieces....but I think they deliver well on those highs. Overall, why pay more when this does what a center channel should and it does it well.

Combined with Sony Receiver, Sony Subwoofer, and 4 surround sound speakers from another brand. The center speaker adds the percect touch to hear dialogue and allows surround speakers to focus on ambiance/music.

I had been looking for the perfect center channel speaker. When I saw this SONY and heard it in the store I was hooked. The price when I bought it was within my budget. Looks great with the silver SONY LOGO too! Great connectors on the back, solid and handsome in black. It's amazing the difference the one extra speaker makes in the perception of sound. Beats the tiny speakers in the TV every time.

At first I thought I didn't need the center speaker because I already have the book shelf speakers. So I went out and bought one just to prove myself right and that I didn't need one. Well I was wrong this speaker is loud and clear. If you don't have one I suggest you get it. you will be missing out.
