I bought this for my wife who needed a small camera with a lot of features. The viewfinder is really useful on sunny days and the flip screen is useful for the odd selfie. Apart from that it takes great pics in a variety of situations.

This is now my wife's fifth camera from Sony in the past 20 years. They just keep getting better all the time. We like the middle of the road camera's because hey are compact and simple to use. Nothing beats the size, it is very compact. Full of features that make taking picture's a snap.

So far we really like the camera. Have always preferred Sony products. Love the 30x zoom.

My son is taking a trip abroad and we needed to get him a good camera. This did the job.

This is an outstanding camera for both the beginner and experienced photographer. Compact (will fit in pocket or purse), excellent picture quality with plenty of easy to choose settings. Can capture sharp images in motion as well as in low light. Best camera I have owned.

I bought this camera for my 12 yr old daughter and was pleasantly surprised. it takes great pictures and good videos and best of all it has a moveable display screen. fairly easy to use and navigate. So far she has been very happy and taking lots of pictures and videos.

OK, I returned this camera not because anything wrong with it. My wife just said that it was too small and she did not feel comfortable holding it, although she is a skinny girl. It is just a matter of habits and preference. Technically, it is feature packed. Unless you really, really want the narrow depth of field of APS-C and 24x36mm sensors, this camera does everything you need. Another awesome feature is; It has a REAL viewfinder which enables you to hold it closer to your eye for lower chances of camera shake, rather than a useless screen which forces you to hold it about a feet or two far away from your eyes for higher chances of a blurry picture. Of course you can use the screen, but if you have a great viewfinder, why bother with it? Manual controls and various semi-automatic modes are great. Zoom is powerful. Despite its small size, looks like well-built with traditional Sony quality.

Easy to learn how to use. Very user friendly. I would definitely recommend this camera.

Best quality photos with awesome zoom for such a small camera. I used it more often than my A6000 because it’s so easy to carry and I don’t have to keep changing lens for distance shot.

I've probably purchased a dozen digital cameras over the years, and this is by far the most exciting camera to date. I purchased the HX80 for an upcoming trip, but the thing is so easy to use and the quality of the images I've taken are quickly making this my everyday camera. The ultra zoom is fantastic, and the image stabilization makes even low-light long focal length shots possible. I wish the viewfinder was a little larger, but I've only needed in bright light situations, and there is plenty of info available through the viewfinder. With no external flash connector, or mic input, this may not be the camera for you if those are a must. My large fingers can handle the controls with no problem, but I'm ordering Sony's grip with remote controls for situations where I will be holding the camera for extended periods.

I love this camera so much and it takes really good pictures. I love the fact that it has a flip screen so I could see myself while I'm vlogging and take really good pictures at night.

This the best camera for traveling. It fits easily into a pocket or pocketbook. It is easy to use. Has many different settings that can be used automatically or you could set your own settings. The zoom is awesome. Can get good shots of wildlife.
