My wife loves this camera. It is a great point and shoot camera with a lot of features. It is small enough to fit in her purse, but takes great pictures.

I picked this compact camera over its many competitors primarily for two features: its 30x zoom lens and its eye-level viewfinder. I've been very satisfied with it. Those two features work well. In addition, the low-light capability is very good, the swivel main screen is occasionally useful, close-up/macro performance is good, and auto settings work very well. My only minor complaint is that the small control buttons sometimes cause some fumbling or accidental triggering of movie mode, but that's an unavoidable trade-off with such a compact camera.

Wanted something with more options than my smart phone. This camera is easy to use, has a great zoom, nice size for traveling, and takes great pictures.

We bought this camera for our 12 year old as she wated to try blogging. It has been a good strater camera as it is high quality and easy to use.

I needed a good long zoom compact camera. I could not get my SLR into concert venues due to their policies but a so-called "point and shoot" camera seemed to pass muster. The zoom range on the SONY HX80 is excellent. The ability to use the built-in pop up viewfinder really sold me on this camera and I really enjoy the movable screen. No other point and shoot camera has all of these features in such a small camera. SONY did their research on this one.

My wife wanted a small camera that she could carry around on our upcoming trip. She hates my SLR NIkon with the interchangeable lenses because of size and weight. This Sony filled the bill perfectly. It has a built in flash and a viewfinder that is perfect when shooting in bright sunlight. It seems to take sharp pictures and the zoom does an excellent job an all ranges. It also has Blu-tooth that we have not yet set up but look forward to using in the future. For the price range and the picture quality this is an excellent buy. Highly recommend this camera.

I have other camera's but bought this camera due to its small size. I needed something small and portable. Camera is a great small camera for the price.

Easy to learn, great picture, high quality video. The battery life is insane!!! This has become my favorite camera.

This camera takes great photos! It is a little camera so it easily fits in your purse. It was a little difficult to figure out all the functions.

Only con is that it is absolutely terrible in low lighting. However other than that it's amazing the photos are great and the videos are just on par.

It has many features and is easy to use. Its size is about right to carry around.

We were torn between this and a few other cameras, but the screen really sold us on the Sony. The "selfie" screen is a great feature to have because lets face it, theres not always someone there to snap a picture with you in it! So far the camera has been good. I can't really say that it stands out over other cameras that I have used, but it seems to be a solid performer in all aspects. As long as it holds up as well as my other Sony cameras in the past, I'll have many years of pictures shot with this camera.

This is the first Bestbuy Open Box item that I'm disappointed, specially because it was described as "Excellent" and it was NOT. Camera takes great pictures, excellent video and it is so easy to transfer the pictures or video to your smartphone. There is a learning curve this new camera but it is well worth it. Camera is excellent for (inexpensive) first video blogging.
