This camera has a long zoom, but because of its small size it can be difficult to hold steady at the extreme zoom range. The pop up viewfinder is so small that it’s use is limited. You get what you pay for and at this price you can’t expect much more.

I bought this one for my wife, who wanted a new camera for an upcoming vacation. She calls herself a technophobe, so she needed something easy to use. Her previous compact camera had too long a lag between pushing the shutter button and taking the picture, and she wanted something better. I took a picture of my watch, pushing the shutter button as the second hand hit six, and the picture showed the second hand on six, so this fit her needs. This camera has all the controls, but being a self described technophobe, I set it on automatic for her, and she can shoot away without concern for the technical details. The lens is amazing, a Zeiss 4.1-123. It has a long enough zoom range that there is no need for an interchangeable lens camera for most users, and the lens it quite sharp. A nice camera for anyone that wants sharp pictures without the fuss of an interchangeable lens camera, that does it all for you but lets you take control if you like.

I was looking for a smaller camera for vlogging, and this one checked all the necessary boxes for my needs. The video quality is great, and the flip up view finder lends itself to vlogging or taking selfies. The built in image stabalization works well, and makes for smooth video. I also found an open box unit at a local BB, which only sweetend the deal.

My reason for buying the camera was to start vlogs for YouTube. The camera is good quality. I was able to quickly get the hang of it. The only complaint I have is the color of the pictures and videos. They look way too gray for me, but maybe that can be changed in the settings??

This was an open box product I bought online for pickup the camera itself is a good product. The open box grading process could use some work or more transparency. The unit I bought was graded Open-Box Satisfactory: Minor to moderate cosmetic signs of use possible Any signs of use will not impact performance Nonessential parts or accessories may be missing. It ended up not having a battery included which in my opinion would be an vital part and this product should have been graded Open-Box Fair Significant cosmetic signs of use Vital accessories may be missing

Great compact camera in bright outdoor conditions. In low light, quality drops off a bit and images are fine if there are no plans to crop or enlarge. Zoom is great, and for a single lens images are ok. Sony a6000 markedly better, but it is also a much more expensive camera. For travel without the bulk of lenses, this will be fine for standard 4x6 prints.

The camera take great photos and come out clean and clear. The bad to the camera is when taking pictures of white roofs the display doesn’t show up. So you don’t know what your actually taking a picture of or if it is actually coming out. I have had previous cameras with a better display that show you what your taking a picture of on a white roof.

Love this SONY DSC-HX80 camera. It has a stabilization of videos, awesome 30x optical zoom, 18.2 megapixels. Great upgrade to an older point and shoot camera. Lot of options to choose from which will take time to practice and get use to. Pop up flash will help out in dark areas. Good grip overall.
