I was looking for a easy to use point & shoot camera and reviewed at least 10 to 15. I chose this one for the optical zoom and the ability to take selfies. This camera delivered more than I expected. The selection of "scene" gave the correct shooting settings for what ever I was taking pictures of. I just took it on a trip to Alaska and was very satisfied. The only downside, which was expected, was the fact that it is a small camera and I have big fingers. After I got use to it, it wasn't bad. Because it was compact, it was easy to handle and carry around. I would buy it again.

I previously owned a Cybershot camera that was smaller but had less features. The 30x zoom works great and the flip-up view screen allows me to take selfies and pictures behind me.

Love this camera its great for vacations and for taking pics of birds in my backyard the quality is amazing i love it

I definitely do no regret purchasing this camera!! I love the quality, and price was great as well. I would say it's an intermediate to advanced camera, definitely not for beginners.

I use this for telephoto street photography. It's great because I always have it in my pocket and ready to shoot! This is also my second HX80.

I bought this to replace my old point and shoot. It makes great photos. I used a Canon Selphy to print the images and they look like they came from a developer.

This camera takes excellent pictures out of the box. My first Sony, too. Great zoom. Just took it to a nighttime concert and have great pics.

This camera takes great pictures for a point and shoot camera. This is about the best it gets for a non DSLR camera. Sony is known to be a great name with great products.

I can take pictures in low light and pictures also come out great with my shaky hands. The zoom is unbelievable. I am still learning all the capabilities it has!

This camera takes pictures as soon as you press the button so more of my pictures have not been blurry. It also takes nice pictures in low light settings where flash is not allowed.

Bought this camera to take thousands of photos for a project I was working on. Held up great with great fast pics

This is a great little travel camera. Lots of zoom range, The only one I found with a viewfinder so I can see what I'm taking in bright sunlight.

An excellent camera at this price point. I was very impressed with the variety of features (face detection, rotating lcd, etc)and image quality possible for a camera this portable.

This camera takes clear, good quality photos. It is great for beginners and anyone who just wants a camera around to take nice pictures of family and other everyday adventures.

This is a good replacement of our old Sony camera. Pictures are much sharper. Giving it a 4 star because the interface is hard to understand and maneuver. I will need to play with it more

Great camera with awesome zoom. Some of the features take a little getting used to in terms of how to use, but not too bad.

This camera is pretty versatile for the price. I am impressed with the zoom quality and sound capture. It's great quality in the day light but struggles inside. Over all not bad for the cost.

Gave as a gift. Great camera for getting up close pictures. Able to see individual hawks in our pine 100 ft pine tree this summer. Easy to use. Would recommend for everyone.

Solid enough camera. I mainly use it to record videos to post to social media. Low light quality is on the bad side. No external microphone support (I somehow missed that when buying and would have skipped if I realized it). In this day I'm not sure why it does not default to .mp4 format when recording videos. The phone app connection is horrible and even the app for the computer is balky to use. The zoom on it is very good though.

I wan't sure how user friendly this camera was but after i bought it, my son loved it. This camera is great for all ages, easy to use and very durable.
