This was a gift for my parents to watch their favorite movies! The Sony brand is a true leader in inovation and never dissapoints! I can say that the price was right, and the DVD player is getting plenty of use! Excellent barand and DVD player too!!!

Plays good. No buffering, no issues to date! This is a simple model due to our older tv. We could not hook up the WiFi blu ray player so we had to downgrade. This was just fine. We got the same brand and they look the same. Very happy with this brand.

I just wanted a DVD player without bells and whistles. I don't have blue ray discs and didn't need internet ability. Sony provides a decent product at a good price. This also had basic controls on the machine for when I can't find the remote. Haven't had it long but so far a good value.

The unit takes hardly any space on my TV stand. Watched a "Moody Blues" concert. The Sony CD/DVD produced a clear, sharp picture. I am surprised of the quality at this price.

Basic little DVD player with no frills for easy use. A gift for an elderly family member whom is not great with electronics. Haven't heard a negative word so it MUST be good!

This sony was bought as a replacement for an old panasonic that quit. This sony is more compact and easy to use. Plays great! Very happy with it. Would buy it again.

I am happy with the DVD player. I have used it for less than 2 months and it has done its job well. I have little comparative DVD experience and am not able to rate relative performance.
While durability is a most important aspect of a product, I cannot rate this aspect since my use experience is so brief. Rating a product so soon after purchase will rarely allow owner/reviewers to offer much value in a review. It is essentially like attempting to extract a predictive sample from 2 cases drawn from a population of 1 million total cases: it is simply not enough data to make a prediction. The overall rating is therefore of limited predictive value, though I did my best.
Summation: So far I like the product and find it satisfactory; however, I can say little else.

This DVD player suited my needs and worked well. I only wanted a basic player as I won't use it that much in the location that it is since I am not there that much. When I have used it it performed flawlessly and met my expectations from the Sony brand.

Great for a spare blu ray player. Holding on to it as a back up in cases game consoles give out or a disaster strikes. It was cheap to get. (On sale for 40 dollars each).

LOVE this Sony DVD player. It sends a HD signal to the TV which is really nice. So simple to operate. DVD players are still necessary because not everything is digital!
