I bought a new one and open box of the same item. To different purposes. One was just for my AVR to play cds. One was for playing DVDs at different location. The open box item was missing the remote and I needed that for switching tracks on CDs. I’d pass on the open box because Best Buy wanted me to purchase a separate remote.

Easy to set up an easy to use! Plugged the power cable into the wall and an HDMI cable into the TV (HDMI cable is sold separately).

Bought it for my mother and she loves it. Put it in her bedroom so she could watch TV when she's hurting or watch movies with the grandkids

I recently inherited a collection of The Simpsons seasons 1-15 on dvd and needed a player to watch. This player is great. I’ve hooked it up to an outdoor projector and I’m sure our neighbors are sick of the simpsons theme song.

My new dvd play wes hooked up with no issues and is easy to use. The dvd played had good quality picture viewed from the tv. Thank You Sony for another good product.
