Works fine, but could be better

I'm not sure what's happening functionally but there is a significant delay when pressing the buttons on the actual device (as opposed to pressing buttons on the remote control). If I press on the open/close button, it's takes a long time to eject, and I'm talking 80s-90s era computer disc drives slow. I don't know why, cause if I use the remote it's pretty normal on how quickly it ejects. First world problems. It's good for the price, and it's exactly what I needed to get a replacement ASAP when the last DVD player died.

Simple and inexpensive
