Great DVD player and easy setup with an HDMI cord.

I bought this for my church. I like that the unit has buttons to operate it, just in case the remote disappears. You may want more features for your home theater, but for my use, it is perfect.

Purchased one for my mother last year. The fruit fly outlived this device. Went to shop to buy another one to replace the dud and must have had a brain freeze and wound up buying same exact unit due to its price and promised image quality. The unit works well. This second unit is still working, but then its only been a few months so far.. we'll see. It works well, no sticking draw, no loading issues, no freeze on image. Can't tell if it delivers image quality it promises, but that's a great selling point for suckers like me who should know better. I'm just glad it was within the margin of human error and I won't be judged when passing through the pearly gates about my purchased decisions. Because of the first one dying within one year or so I can't recommend this one until my mom has owned it for two or more years without issue. My personal feeling is this is probably not much better than others in its price range. How many people watch DVD's anymore anyway - just my mom? It's going to be like the cassette tape player or phonograph as more people are live streaming and using memory sticks, but I digress :)

This works great and my kids are just as happy as I am, to have their very own dvd player.

I bought this DVD player primarily to play music. For an inexpensive option, the product meets my needs. My main issue is the buttons on the unit. They require more fine pressure than my fat fingers are able to create. I need to press the buttons a couple of times to get them to respond. The remote control is better, but the delay between pressing the "on" button and "eject" or "play" is a bit annoying. For someone who occasionally watches a DVD, this player is good value. If you intend to watch lots of DVDs or listen to your collection of music CDs, this product may test your patience. This reviewer has only used the DVD play for a few weeks and cannot attest to product durability. If the price was higher, I would grade the product rating lower.
