Unable to connect player to tv. Instructions enclosed very poor. Connections not compatible with tv. Remote control did not have any instructions on how to use. Push buttons on player very small. Would not recommend unit to anyone regardless of price. Seller outlet personnel not able to address problem.

Does not react very well when turning on through remote or manually. Does not open very well with either one. Seems to be poorly made but for $40 I guess I shouldn't expect too much.

Useless. Ran an hdmi to both a denon and yamaha receiver. No audio or visual from device. Looks cheaply built and lived up to its appearance.

My old pre-HID TV (RCA) had a large clear screen and showed any DVD I loaded into the DVD slot. The Sony DVD player that I had to purchase -- since the new HID TV I bought does not have a built-in DVD player -- will play only commercially produced DVDs. It will not play any of those I created myself. Those I now have to watch on my computer. Very frustrating and irritating.

I purchased this under the impression that it was supposed to be a Bluray player but when I got home to start playing Bluray movies, it was not the case. If you want to play non-Bluray movies, this would be a good fit.

I'm disappointed the sales person that talked me into a 5 cartridge printer, instead of the 2 I used to have. I hardly ever print in color and the first time I did it barely printed in yellow & informed me I was low on ink.

I'm very grateful for my dvd player but unfortunately I was unable to play blue ray dvd game of thrones. If you have blue ray i avoid buying this.

This device will not play data disc. I created "home made" videos using AShampoo Movie Maker Pro and Photoshop and burned it on DVD -R, DVD +R - nothing worked, then got the message - "Playback prohibited by area limitations" However, my homemade videos plays from my desktop and laptop computers. Bottom line - this device has issues with regionalization. Not recommended

Was just what I needed. It was good to find it at a reasonable price. Was good for me at that price

Upconversion is good quality. perhaps not the finest but for the money. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive DVD player this will be more then enough for you.

3 days after 90 day labor warranty was up, unit quit sending sound to tv. Tried other discs, changing hdmi cord & even just turning it off & on to no avail.

We are 80 years old and we are learning the routine of how to view dvds as a separate entity from our now defunct vcr/dvd unit.

Doesn't work after three uses. I can't get the receipt for the item .I have to return it to sony but can't get the receipt from best buy.been on hold for 2 hours .I so disgusted with the lack of actual help. I'M disabled and was tolld item was under warranty by best buy through them.They lied.

My only problem was that in setting it, it was not easy to figure out how to have it run contentiously. One time I got it to work, but the next day I was not able to so it kept stopping in our display.

I think I got a lemon. It stopped spinning DVDs in about two weeks. I’ll be returning it for exchange. I’m giving this same brand a second chance.

I am not impressed with this purchase, but, it does the job. It works fine, but, the picture isn't the best quality, I do plan to get a better "monster" cable to see if this improves the picture.

Good equipment but seems slowly responsive to remote. Would help to have a power light on the front so at least one knows it's on or off.

You should not ship by Federal Express. All kinds of trouble. Everyone in my neighborhood is complaining about Fed-X also.

I haven’t used it yet. Too early for review. Was disappointed it did not come with a HDMI cable

Completely satisfied with my purchase. Easy to set up and is also easy to operate.
