Slim design to put anywhere and pretty straightforward to use. Only issue is the button to push for on/open/close is so tiny - and I have small fingers! But overall is a great deal!

Gave this as a gift for my parents and they loved it. Simple but effective and very easy to connect with their Smart TV makes it a great purchase for the cost.

For some reason neither of the two Sony DVD's I purchased worked. Both played the first part of each DVD and then stopped playing during the last half; after a while it would start back-up again but then completely stop.

Like it so far. No problems. Don't meed 50 characters to tell you its okay...

Needed an easy, DVD player for occasional use in my bedroom. Have a Sony in my livingroom that was more expensive but works just the same. Does not come with a HDMi cable but I always have a couple extras lying around. Well worth the money.

I bought an 'open box' unit. All the pieces were there - except for the cable needed for the hook up. The cable was not part of the original package - you have to buy your own. This unit was easy to install and it's a great little size, it fits perfect in my kitchen under my little TV. My only issue is I wish the 'ON' light was bigger because it's hard to see if the unit is on or off. It plays DVD's beautifully. It's a good value and I would recommend it.

I was excited to open the box and find a nice-looking and sleek Sony DVPSR510H DVD player with Upscaling. The set up was simple and fast, as the default selections were just right. The instructions include a list of TV manufacturers and their respective two-digit code for you to quickly input into the DVD controller so that you don't need to use your TV controller at all. Very nice. The disappointment is that after about one week of low usage, this DVD player sometimes does not load the disk (and yes, the player is set to automatically load the disk when the tray is closed). Luckily, and for now, the disk loads after re-opening then closing the tray. I do hope this does not deteriorate further. Additionally, this unit sometimes makes a rather harsh grinding noise, which worries me. I also hope this does not deteriorate further. I don't know how to end this review except to say that I expected better reliability from a Sony product, especially a new one.

I was not expecting much out of an inexpensive option to hook to my 70" Vizio. Setup was super easy. I just plugged and played. The picture was fantastic. I have found myself watching many of my older discs to enjoy the upconversion feature. I highly recommend.

This is a great DVD player for the money. It took about 2 minutes to get it up & running with the HDMI cable & power cord I had on my old one. Picture & sound from DVDs is very good.

Awesome DVD player to own. No skips or malfunctions. Works like a charm. The slim size of this DVD player make sit so easy to store in small spaces of the TV stand and the buttons are accessible from the front. Great product, great price. Fully recommend this product for the use in a family house.

The dvd player was as advertised - easy to connect, easy to operate, clarity and sound good! I only used it once!

Bought this unit for a 32" Samsung LED LCD, so I was interested in the upconvert feature of our old DVDs. Using the HDMI connection, but was glad to find out it had the optional RCA sound and video outputs for older TVs. It says it can do 5.1 stereo sound, but I don't think you will get a TV to do that without sending the sound output to a receiver or home theater sound system. Used the quick set up guide and the on-screen menus without having to read the larger manual. We have the older version without the up-convert and it has been a workhorse for 5 years and still going.

Worked great for what I needed. Not much space to work with and this fit perfectly. Good quality and easy to operate. Would recommend others to buy.

Works great and inexpensive easy to operate small size

I purchased this to replace an old Sony DVD player. We have many dvd's our children enjoy watching and the old one quit. So far we've been pleased with this product. Good picture quality, easy to use, great price!
