Great product to view video and to have arou d I case you need I love the ease of using it and could not ask for a better experience

The DVD player was bought to replace one that had become obsolete. Although I am an old lady and not very tech savvy I was able to connect it to the tv with no problem. It works well and the remote is easy to use. The buttons on the remote to operate the DVD player are self explanatory. When playing a dvd it will automatically return to where you left off without you having to do anything. The quality of the picture is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.

This DVD Player is so good I purchased one for my son's room. DVD TV and Movies from the 50s to now are so amazingly clear. The Sound Quality is superb as well. The remote control is so very easy to use with every control needed for every operation. I read a lot of reviews before my purchase of this Excellent DVD player and this machine far exceeds the reviews I read. The cost of this machine is so reasonable I am going to buy a third for another family member, Plays Music CDs perfectly as well. Upscales to 1080P. Must have HDTV for Maximum Quality.

I needed a new DVD player with HDMI Interface, because my new TV didn’t have Component/RCA style. This is a very high quality unit, and it’s keeping my DVD collection alive. It up-converts/upscales to HDMI 1080, but with larger screens imperfections are more noticeable. It is a great unit to keep your DVD collection alive, it supports recorded media as well such as DVD-R & DVD RW DVD+R DVD+RW, DVD Dual Layer, CDR, CD RW, and the 3.15” camcorder DVD Formats. It is a good bridge for me while I make the transition to blu-ray for my video library, and I still can play all my stuff I recorded with the camera into the future. The cheap no name department store models don’t measure up to the quality that is Sony. It’s worth spending the extra money for all it’s compatibility.

Finally, I got a basic DVD up-conversion player the works great and didn't cost a bundle either. My previous two Samsung DVD-C500 units both failed in less than 6 months, plus they 'growled' while playing since day one. This little Sony is so quiet I don't even know it's playing. Also love that the 'remote menu' really takes you to the Play Movie screen with one push, bypassing all previews. Money well spent plus a decent up-conversion 1080p DVD picture makes me a happy movie buff.

I got this to replace a different unit that failed. Other unit was a Magnavox. I've only watched a few movies on it so far, so I'm not exactly sure if the DVD quality is a blame (15 year old dvd's), old hdmi cable or unit itself. I doubt it's the unit. All movies have played flawlessly with varying quality. Unit itself is best controlled with remote. Only basic open/close, power, play/pause and stop. The setup menu offers more than what the unit can dish out in our home. I assume more options for home theater and newer tv's. Overall I think I got a great buy since it's only for a movie once a month with only a roku soundbar. Under $50 total delivered. It's worth it.

Works great. While handles DVD's well despite not top level (expensive) features, really got it as an inexpensive CD/DVD player for audio music in a room that does not have a TV but for music listening. Of course can always hook it up in a room with a TV, but most movies are not DVD based but streaming. This pairs well with a receiver, turntable and high end speakers.
