    Great sharpness and fast focus. I was debating whether to get this or the OSS version, but this really does the job fine as long as you know your camera settings.

    I really like this little lens. The only negative is the lack on on-lens image stabilization. The f/1.8 is fast enough for most situations I'm in, and at higher f-stops image sharpness seems outstanding to me. I've only used it in winter, so I don't know how it will do in very colorful environments, but the generally monochromatic settings have been fine.

    This is a decent prime lens. Not as sharp as I had hoped it would be, considering Nikons 50mm f/1.8 prime is cheaper and much sharper, and I moved from Nikon to Sony. Maybe mine is defective, or it is just not good paired with the alpha a7Rii? Still lots of detail in images, just a little rougher looking than what I'm used to.

    Pretty good budget lens. The nifty fifty is good not great. The motor is loud when trying to focus. Imagines come out clear and sharp when stopped down to about 2.8. This lense is strictly photos or video with no sound.
