Exceptional lens

I'm not a pro, but I like the overall reach and speed of these lens, very good for sport, wild life and people photos for me, I also using it a lot for landscape and cityscape photos to isolate some specific elements of the city or nature (one building, or tree in the part, etc.). Of course you are paying a lot, but you are getting high performance lens which will be with you for a long time.

Great lens!

I would concur with them that this lens is a lot sharper than the 24-70 GM. I tend to shoot longer distances, so I find myself using this lens more than the 24-70 GM. I used this lens to take photos at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and I was impressed how well the lens could zoom and focus. In addition, the photos were very sharp. I also like taking photos of the moon and the birds and this lens works well for both. I am very happy with this lens.

A pricey but amazing lens

The bokeh effect at F2.8 is just out of this world. I can see a distinct difference with photos taken using this lens and my other lenses that I have. It's a pricey purchase but the difference in picture quality will soon make you realize that this was a good investment. If you are into photography, then this is a great lens to have on your side. The autofocus does great even in low light.

The day finally came that I could justify the cost so I grabbed it. I am a professional Real Estate photographer. It is sharp and the autofocus is fast and reliable. In my opinion, it is the best overall lens on the market right now for Sony shooters. If you ave the spare cash it is a must-have,

Really great lens!

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely amazing lens, great bokeh at f2.8 200mm, only two downsides is that the autofocus motor is a tad loud but unnoticeable when shooting, and it hunts for focus for a while in low light conditions. Still 100% recommend, best purchase I’ve made as a photographer.
