It has since been updated and now works great. Gave it to my bro in law as a gift and he loves it. Plays so many discs. Only downside is no Dolby Vision support.

I took it to the Geek Squad and it was working fine for them. But every time I took it home it wouldn’t work. The Geek Squad said it was a proximital problem, which means it won’t work at my home only at the store. The Geeks didn’t even open the unit now clean the laser. I would not buy another

I cannot speculate as to the source of the problem( disc or player), but I think I have spent far too much money at Best Buy to have this happen. It is very simple. I pop in a 30 dollar disc in player= it better play.
