I purchased one of these refurbished Xpreria XA2 phones for my wife as a replacement for an older phone, and was so impressed with it that I purchased a second one for myself. This phone is one of the fastest I have seen, due to its 8-core CPU with plenty of memory. It comes with Android 8 (Oreo) pre-installed so you'll benefit from the latest Android software. Another nice feature is the fingerprint sensor on the rear of the phone that you can use to unlock the device. The photos are taken with the same Exmor imaging units found in many of Sony's high-end cameras, with a 23 megapixel image size when taking pictures using a 4x3 aspect ratio (20MP when shooting 16x9). The phone is light, but seems to have a long battery life so far. You can junk up your phone with a lot of garbage apps that drain your battery, but if you keep to the essentials, this phone should last you through the day quite well. The call quality is good, and having the latest advances in cellular and wifi circuitry helps with reception and signal strength issues. The SIM card is easily accessible, as is the microSD card slot (though you need to slide out a small black carrier tray for the microSD card which isn't immediately obvious until you look closely at the card slot). The phone sports the latest version of Gorilla glass, which should help it survives normal contact with other objects. The back of the phone is a bit slippery though, so you might want to consider getting a cover for it that makes it easier to hold reliably. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase (I have never considered Sony as a phone maker before), and I hope others will take a look at this phone as well. I think you will be pleased.

The good: - Feels really well built. Solid, quality materials. - Super fast. Good connectivity all around. - The batter lasts forever. Two days without charging for me. - You get 90% of the top of a line phone for around $250. It's a steal - Refurb works like new. No issues or scratches - It's different. It seems everyone uses an iPhone or a Galaxy. I like the personality of the Xperia. The not so good: - I would have preferred more memory but so far I have not needed it so far - The camera is sub-par. Which is surprising, given how good Sony cameras are. Still, it is good enough for 95% of people. Overall, I am super happy with my purchase and very glad I did not spend 750 on a top-of-the line phone

Overall very happy with the phone, which I've had for about a month. Lots of convenient settings options, fast performance, plenty of storage. The camera has some cool features: a very welcome physical camera button on the side of the phone, quick access to the camera without having to unlock the phone, sensitive auto modes. The selfie camera has a unique wide angle camera, so you can get more people or background into the photo-- not many phones have this. My only complaint is that the Smart Lock feature is inconsistent. My understanding is that this is a problem with Android 8.0 and was corrected in Android 8.1. If this is important to you I would find a phone with the 8.1 operating system. I like the size of the screen and the phone. Large enough without being a pain to carry around.

This phone is an outstanding value. I bought it and set it up for my wife. The phone materials have great fit and finish. Display is gorgeous, and the camera is very good. Battery life is outstanding. The Snapdragon 630 is very snappy. Comes with Oreo already installed. I couldn't expect better for under $300.

The only thing giving this phone away as a refurbished item was the price and the package, otherwise you wouldn't know it, as far as the phone itself im satisfied with it, it's got better sound than my old asus zenfone 5 which i had to replace because of the bad audio quality, this one sounds 40 45% better, the camera is realky good in very low light, but in medium light not so much they look kind of yellow, daylight pictures look very decent, its easier to remove the memory and the sim cards compared to the ones that need the little key, battery last longer than most phones even though it's smaller, the only bad thing i can say about it is that it seems to have signal problems, it did not work very well right out of the box i had to change the network type in settings to cdma (preferred) /gsm and that made a little difference but it might also be my network since im with a prepaid company.

This phone looks great on the outside and fulfills all of my technical needs which include 3gb ram and 1080p video. The phone operates very smoothly and worked with my current phone provider. Also a plus was the cover that was recommended for this phone on this website which gives great protection. The phone really looks like it's new except for a couple of nicks on 2 of the corners but I only noticed that when I was applying the case. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a decent phone that works with other Sony products including Playstation.

This phone has been very reliable and I've had no issues with it. It's the perfect size, sound and picture quality are good.

Needed to replace a 16GB phone that just kept locking up because the memory was blown. Didn't want to spend a lot of money for a new one, so bought the refurb. Cricket is my carrier so I ordered a nano sized chip from them and was instantly back in business. All my apps downloaded from my Google backup. Couldn't have been easier. This is a really high quality phone and I'm very happy with it. It has all the features I was looking for including NFC.

if you want an android and think Samsung is asking too much, I think Sony is the answer. chose this one over cheaper model L for a better camera and happy so far. I had Sony before so the transition is easy, although icon arrangement is a bit different, but works for me.

I bought a refurb and it looks like new. Very easy to set up and port over all my data from the last phone, Sony has a free app to help. I use cricket wireless and ordered a new nano Sim card. Plugged it in and followed the instructions. I was back in business in minutes.

Bought this phone for my fiancé because he’s currently overseas. Didn’t need anything fancy just wanted an unlocked phone with a good enough camera for video calls. This phone does the trick. Good quality for the price.

Im a high end phone user and I have been using this one for a week and I dont see the extra $600 dls that I pay for my S9. This xperia its great, dont need more

I've always wanted to try a Sony phone. I'm glad I did. I had it for almost a month and it's features are amazing. No problems with the finger print scanner, camera is great. I like the interface.

Got this as a replacement for my broken galaxy s8+. Works well and cameras are phenomenal.

Sony XA2 is a great design and works better than the phone it replaced. And the price felt like a steal!

The phone is working well but the camera is not very clear as explained. Has no front camera flash so it cannot take night photos very well. It also doesn't take photos well at night

Looks good and feels good for the money. Looks just as good as the high dollar apple and Samsung to me
