This is the cheaper of the 3 sony flashes but it doesn't mean its lacking. only issue is depending if your rough with accessories. the battery hatch seems to be fragile and I'm not a big fan of the folding to power off, but for the price its manageable

It is very light and small, which is exactly what I wanted. It is a little stronger than the built in flash but does a very good job. If you want something small and light get this flash.

The camera kept giving me error messages that the flash was incompatible with my camera. Bought this Sony flash from the Best Buy Open Box listing and it works flawlessly (and c ame at a nice discount from the regular retail price).

Compact & useful but limited function

The diffuser has a clever design allowing it to flip up for tele shots but doesn't seem very effective for close to moderate distances. It has a fast recycle time and the "flip-up-to-turn-on" feature is handy. It's small enough to keep on hand "just in case" and since it uses AA batteries you don't have worry about charging it ahead of time.
