It added more time for recording. I too was amazed that even though it is eye catching, it allows me to record with having to change batteries. Highly recommended for those long sports game recordings on one charge. Pair with a decent size SD card and you got everything you need for your camcorder.

The Sony Info-LITHIUM NPF100 provides exceptional battery life. I have been using this model for several years. It's dependable and I consider it a "must have"! I highly recommend it.

The last time I used it intermitently for an entire day of vacation sightseeing and had a charge at the end of the day. Talk about dependability? This one takes the cake.
