For when you want to hide you playing games from your wife, this is the best device. You can be in the garage and play, in the kitchen and play, in the guest room, and even if you're dropping the kids to the pool and play. (Hope my wife doesn't read this, she still doesnt know i have this)

I Bought the ps5 portal as a gift for my husband for Christmas, he was super excited about even tho he wasnt sure about how it worked at first, after doing some research he loves it,he walks around the house playing his ps5. He likes that he doesn’t have to be stationary while playing his games.

It’s made by Sony-so of course it will outshine the 3rd Party Competition. Yes you could use a Steam Deck to get close to the same experience on OLED, but let’s be honest why would you pay more? I wish the screen was OLED, but it’s simple and it works. It lags on occasion when out of home network, but it’s to be expected. Overall it’s new and I’m sure Sony will release future updates to alleviate issues.
PARENTS I’m sure some have discovered you NEED a PlayStation 5 for this work. This is not a Nintendo Switch.

It’s not Bad, it could b muuuuuuch better, but Sony being Sony. I loses connection , but the touch screen and private experience is nice, it could b cheaper since Sony is raising membership like crazy. I give 6 out 10.

So far so good! I haven’t tried it away from home yet so that’s the only thing keeping me from giving it a perfect score but so far it’s been staying connected and the graphics are great.

Is good not great, since it depends mostly on your upload speed of your internet. Try using good ethernet cable on the ps5 for better connection. If using wifi try putting your primary bandwidth on your ps5 to the 5gtz . Also let your ps5 run for like 2 minutes before connecting, when i connect the portal immediately after turning on the game the connection was static while using wifi. Overall good accessory to have.

At first I was skeptical due to the Portal being cloud streaming only, however I’ve been thoroughly pleased with my purchase. I do want to add that I have a stable and high speed fiber connection, so your experience may differ from mine. Also if you’re on a network with lots of pull on your WiFi bandwith, I would use a second router attached to your ISP modem via Ethernet to give the PlayStation Portal first priority. It doesn’t take long at all to pair to my PS5, and the quality of my game streaming is excellent. Hardly any input lag for me and almost identical to native gaming.

This device is great overall but literally you need a ps5 and it just like having a fancy controller with its own screen, it won’t work if your are using the ps5 can’t used it at the same time.

Lots of mixed reviews on this but I do like it a lot. Kind of depends on the game, some just feel better playing on a console but everything I've played so far plays perfectly fine. I have put quite a few hours on fallout 4 playing handheld. I would definitely recommend if someone in your house is hogging the tv all the time and you just want to play video games haha
