I keep going back to it thinking it’s worth it…it’s not. Don’t buy it. In reality if you can have a 5G hotspot at any given time then buy it. Let’s be real though, no average day to day person has that option. They’re running off 2.4G WiFi and maybe an okay 5G connection. But overall, not worth it. PlayStation is trying to make it the “modern PSP” by having cloud gaming on it but you have to have their most expensive subscription to play the cloud games. Oh, and the cloud games are what they deem suitable to be on there for now. You can still connect to your PlayStation 5…if it’s in Rest Mode. If not or you forget to put it in rest mode, well, it’s cloud games or nothing. It won’t turn on your PlayStation from being “off”. So overall it’s more of one of those weird, odd, collectible gaming items to make fun of later on. Lastly: - Not an OLED screen or even LED - 1080p resolution IF you’re lucky - Usually always runs below 1080p when on a different WiFi or connection point that what the console itself is on. - Battery life sucks - Joysticks are the definition of sensitive to the touch…as in they feel loose and fragile. They are super sensitive to movement - Photo provided is it running at 1080p but don’t let it fool you. There is a ton of lag time. The resolution was only maxed out because the PlayStation was in the same room and the PlayStation and the portal were the only two items on the WiFi. (PS5 was on 5G and the portable was on 2.4G)

Theres not too much latency but as long as you have decent wifi, screen quality is also impresive for it toniust be 1080 suprisingly they just didn’t immediately drop it as just an OLED but its great still. Analogs may take a little getting used too they feel a bit slicker but some foam bumpers should do the trick.

This product is amazing it is great for the holidays! It pairs perfectly with the ps5 and can be used anywhere in the house I love it! I would highly recommend it only down side is you need to be connected to a PlayStation 5 to use it, but overall a solid product with great battery life! It’s also way more worth it than the backbone that requires a phone and uses a much smaller display!

Connects to my playstation like butter, feels good to play anywhere in my house. Only slight lag. Would recommend to anyone who just wants to hang in different rooms or if you have that limited number of tvs and want to play while someone is watching something else.

This is great if you have good internet connection and if you have the high tier subscription you can play the games on the cloud which make it really worth having it you travel and you should also get the PlayStation charging station goes great with it

When the PS Portal first got announced I knew I had to have it! Best Buy went live with having them in stock in November 2023 and I was able to snag one up! I’ve never had this much fun with remote play! I can lie down, play on the couch while watching tv too, and or play outside. I’m happy with my purchase.

Love the PlayStation portal is one of my favorite the best thinf i like about is the i don’t have to be stuck on the tv i can go anywhere in my house n play worh my friends recommend to anyone….!!!!!!

Great way to play your Playstation in any room in your house. I did have to tweak some sttings with my wifi but it works great now!

Is it worth the buy….YES! Does it do everything we all asked for NO! But given that said it handles well. If you have good internet it will provide the ability to be all over the house. Now I am told if you have a hotspot on phone it’ll work with that too. Haven’t tried it yet. But will. FYI- get ready for EA college Sports 2025- the whole reason I bought one.

I will recommend this if you are away from home or simply dont want to sit infront of the tv playing the game and want to lay down online play is lagging but i play offline games and it works fine for me sometimes often disconnect i will say its worth the $200. Get it if you have good wifi

I love this thing has great quality while cloud gaming but it is annoying that it only works with the subscriptions for ps plus not everyone wants to pay that

I love my portal it helps me spend time with my wife while I play the game I can b laying next to her in bed or what ever but I don't have to b stuck in front of the tv to play the game love my portal

Great buy, very convenient, not my child joins us in the living room is not locked away because he can transfer the game on the TV for the device

I have had the playstation portal for a week now and enjoy it very much. I would say it lags but very little though. Its convenient when you dont want to play somewwhere else around your house. I would reccomend you have fast internet to be able to enjoy portal.

Honestly it got wayyyy better and smoother after the update the delay is now negligible and a lot of the functionality issues are nonexistent, solid buy

Honestly , it’s the best thing I’ve bought in a long time. And now since all the updates happened you don’t even need a ps5 just psplus

Really cool device that allows me to play PS5 games in bed while the wife hogs the tv. The only negative is that sometimes my crappy internet isn’t performing well enough to play but most of the time it works flawlessly .
