The remote player is not as advertised. It doesn't work! Setup was a bit frustrating as it would connect then disappear. Play was intermittent at best.

Doesn't work. I can't play games outside or at home. I tried multiple times that it would work but it has no success. And then I came to return the product then I got to know that the return of the device was 15 days.

Going to be honest not worth it if you are going to be traveling. If you are going to be home and playing the go for it get it but if you want this to play on the go it’s no good. You can play single games good but multiplayer players game are garbage best way I can put it sorry.

A BestBuy representative on chat tried to have a portal I paid for shipped to their address. How deceiving is that. And BestBuy keep transferring me to tgis person and that person bit no one is acknowledging what happened to me. This is just SAD

PROS: -Simple setup
-Amazing ergonomics
-Full featured dualsense handles
-Beautiful OLED screen
-3.5mm headphone jack
-Performs perfectly on home WiFi -Decent battery life (~6 hours) -No more fighting over the TV!
CONS: -No Bluetooth
-No browser so unable to connect to hotel or public WiFi that use a login page
-Proprietary PlayStation Link (branded Bluetooth) headphones are expensive and have horrible reviews so I am stuck using my old Platinum headset with an aux cable. -Getting connected to iPhone hotspot with T-Mobile is a chore. -No battery percentage display
LCD screen looks worse that the OG Nintendo Switch

The LCD screen looks worse than the 2017 Nintendo Switch. Buying a Backbone for your phone and playing with PS Remote Play works just as good, is cheaper, and your phone has a better screen than the Portal.

The PlayStation Portal is the most surprising device I've ever come away from loving after going in loaded with skepticism. It's such a better experience than using your phone with a slap-on controller, and it works so much better than I was anticipating. I really love the freedom it gives me to play my PS5 from anywhere with decent WiFi coverage ... The biggest things keeping the Portal from being a truly amazing device are its current lack of a way to access WiFi that requires a web browser to log in, and its lack of Bluetooth support for audio.
