So happy I was smart enough to pre-order this. I have a very nice TV but it's much more comforting to play on this little screen. It certainly does have the occasional connectivity issue (less than 1% of the time). But it's a very nice add on for not a horrible price. But it's fast, comfortable, and very high quality

Easy to connect to our PS5 and works exactly as intended. I don’t mind that we can’t take it out of the house because it’s meant to be used when our toddler wants to watch something else on the TV. Screen quality is good, no latency issues with the controls and the battery actually goes on for a while. Would definitely recommend.

This PlayStation portal is awesome. It is exactly what my husband wanted. He wanted something he could play his ps5 on even away from home, he originally got a backbone for his phone from another place, but it would not work very great. Then when he saw this at best buy I got it for him for Christmas and he said it works great! He can play it anywhere with wifi or a hotspot and the quality on the device is perfect. Even I have started to enjoy it as well. Highly recommend!

Far exceeding expectations. Screen is gorgeous, controllers are comfortable. And freedom to play without any significant lag delay is really impressive.

This is possibly one of the best pieces of technology I’ve purchased in a long time. It works effortlessly to connect to my PS5 and allows me the flexibility to play the games I want anywhere in my home without having to move the console. I love playing on the big screen but with some games this sometimes causes motion sickness over prolonged periods of intense game play. The Portal allows me to play in between, and reduces that sense of motion sickness.
The quality of the handheld is amazing, and the screen is big, bright, and gorgeous. The ergonomics of the grips are fantastic. It feels exactly like a Dualsense controller despite the added distance between the left and right grips due to the large screen. Battery life seems to be pretty normal, I have had no issues with it depleting faster than I need it to. The only improvement I could suggest is the placement of the USB-C charging port. It’s a little difficult getting it plugged in under the lip of the back of the device. It would be better suited to the top of the handheld so you don’t have to “dig” to get it in the port, and it would make it easier to charge while the device is still in use.
Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the Portal and I am excited to use it away from home when they bring game streaming out of beta. If you have been thinking about purchasing a Portal, do it. You will not regret it.

This is a great addition to having a PS5. Streaming could service games as well direct from hardware works without a hitch. Have used in variety of internet scenarios, home/hotel/cell hotspot, without any major issues. Its great to play in places other then in front of the TV. Patio, travel, etc.

As a frequent traveler, I was looking for a convenient way to enjoy my PlayStation games on the go and during downtime, and the PlayStation Portal has exceeded my expectations! Being able to play my PS5 games in bed, without having to set up downstairs every time, is a game-changer. The device is lightweight, easy to carry, and the screen quality does justice to the games’ visuals. The battery life is impressive, which is crucial for those long travel days. I found the setup to be straightforward, seamlessly integrating with my existing PlayStation ecosystem. The price point is also very reasonable, offering great value for a high-quality gaming experience. I highly recommend the PlayStation Portal to anyone who wants to keep gaming while away from their main console setup. It’s like having a portable PS5 at your fingertips!

The PlayStation Portal is an incredible device for remote gaming! It's sleek and portable, making it easy to take my PS5 experience on the go. The 8-inch screen is vibrant and delivers a crystal-clear picture. The DualSense controller integration is seamless, providing the same immersive experience as playing on a PS5. The battery life is decent, and the setup process is quick and straightforward. Overall, the PlayStation Portal is a fantastic way to enjoy PS5 games on the go, and I highly recommend it to any PS5 owner!

The PlayStation Portal honestly surprised me. I didn’t expect much, but it works really well for playing my PS5 around the house. The screen looks great, the controls feel just like the regular DualSense, and it’s super comfortable to use.
You do need a good Wi-Fi connection if the signal drops, you’ll notice it. But when the connection is solid, the gameplay feels smooth and responsive. It’s not a standalone console, but for relaxing in bed, on the couch, or anywhere at home without using the TV, it’s really convenient and does exactly what I needed.

I love the idea of this product, however its not what I was hoping for. It is a great concept, similar to the steam deck, but it isn't quite there. It works pretty good around my house with my internet, however there is still input lag. At my house I tested the portal by playing madden 26 and Call of Duty Black Ops 7. Both games with great internet connection, I have input lag. My second test I spent some time at a relatives 7 hours away from my console. I experienced minor connection issues (took a little longer to connect than usual), lag, and still have the input delay. Now my relatives internet is not great, explaining the lag, but the input delay is what is lowering my rating. Despite being 7 hours away from my console or 2 feet away, the input delay seems to be the same. This product might not work the best for games like madden and Call of Duty, but those are the games I play. I would not recommend this product if you plan on using it for these games. Unfortunately, I don't know how well it functions with other games. Overall, I think this product could be great in the future with some updating. I look forward to an improved version.

PlayStation Portal is a comfortable, well-built handheld that streams PS5 games with a sharp 8-inch screen and DualSense-style controls. On strong Wi-Fi, it feels smooth and responsive, perfect for couch or bed play. However, it can’t play games locally, and performance drops on weaker networks. Audio options are limited.

I’m really impressed with the PlayStation Portal. The screen quality is excellent, the controls feel just like the PS5 controller, and gameplay is smooth with a good Wi-Fi connection. It’s perfect for playing while someone else uses the TV. Setup was fast and easy, and it works exactly as expected. Definitely worth it for PS5 fans.

With a solid Wi-Fi connection, gameplay is smooth and responsive. It’s perfect for playing PS5 games when the TV is in use. Highly recommend for PS5 owners who want more flexibility.

Portal is good but not for online game play as even with the best internet connection it will cut off stream. Also for people without P5 they can play stream games for about $18 or $20 a month only. The is nice details everything display is great batter last for about 4 to 5 hours so far since playing

I’m very happy with this purchase. The product works exactly as described and feels well built with good quality materials. Setup was quick and easy, and I didn’t run into any issues using it. Performance has been smooth and reliable so far, and it does what I need it to do without any problems. For the price, this is definitely a solid value. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something dependable and easy to use.

As someone with limited space in my room, I cannot hook up a TV to play the PS5 so this device is amazing for playing in bed. I own a Steam Deck that can do the same thing but requires a little bit more setup, and I personally prefer first party as it was an easy to connect and fluid experience. The screen is also pretty big which is a must have for me, so I think this is the perfect device. My internet router and modem are both in the room so connectivity is strong.

Very well put together system. Graphics are good. Was worried about screen size but it’s actually a good sized touch screen which was a plus as well. Aside from needing WiFi to use it’s a great product. If you questioning rather you should purchase the PlayStation portal or not, my suggestion is to make the purchase.

I absolutely love the PlayStation Portal. It’s a great handheld gaming system, especially if you already own a PS5. The screen is beautiful, the controls feel just like a regular DualSense controller, and it’s super comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions. Being able to play my PS5 games from anywhere in the house is a huge plus.
That said, there are a couple things to keep in mind. Your PlayStation has to be on (or in rest mode with remote play enabled), and your experience really depends on your internet connection. If you don’t have strong, stable Wi-Fi, it can get laggy and impact gameplay. With a solid connection though, it runs smoothly and feels almost like you’re playing directly on the console.
Overall, if you have reliable internet and want flexibility to game away from the TV, the PlayStation Portal is definitely worth it.

What i can say about the ps portal, its good for casual on the go gaming. Story based games isnt too bad. If your looking for on the go competitive play type of experience this isnt it due the fact of input delay depending on your internet connection but most of the time itll be decent. Its a good streaming device
