The PS5 Portal brings console-level gaming to your fingertips with a sleek, portable design. the smaller size can feel a bit cramped for long sessions. Battery life is decent, lasting around 4-5 hours, but you’ll likely need a charger for extended play. Overall, it’s a fantastic way to play PS5 games on the go, though not the most compact option out there.

I recently bought a console, but I travel for work and was disappointed that I wouldn’t get to use my console at home much. I was on the fence about this until the newest update came out for cloud streaming. This portal is AMAZING. The only downfall is having to pay for the PlayStation plus premium if you want to use it on the go and not have to worry about your console at home being in rest mode. I do love the fact that I can be using the portal and the console at the same time, as long as two accounts are being used.

The PlayStation portal is a Great device. It allows you to play your PlayStation 5 without being tethered to the TV. Since I've had it that it's been my favorite way to play my PlayStation in a way. However, that comes at a cost sometimes. If the internet is not great then it suffers because it is a remote player, not a stand-alone console. If you're downloading something else while trying to stream at the same time, your game play suffers. However, when things are great with this device, things are really great. The visual quality is great. The gameplay feels like a PlayStation. 5. Dual sense in your hand. The screen puts out very well, so I think that if you were to buy it, knowing that this is not a Nintendo switch, where's a standalone device okay? If you're okay with that, then you should have no problems with this device because it is quite fine.

Well worth the money works amazing and the fact that I can pick up and play in a friends house or my moms house with no problems is a must have don’t have to take my ps5 on trips any more this is a great product to have for those that travel a lot and hate to always bring there console with them

I forgot that I pre-ordered this thing and definitely got nervous after the reviews but after handling it and using it in the house it is fantastic. I have decent wifi throughout the house and it only slowed down once noticeable when playing Spiderman, but wow how convenient and overall a bargain of what this thing is.

Being part of the portal nation, i see all these 1 stars and i think those are trash reviews. I have never seen lag in any of my games that i've played and it's been super smooth. Setup to your ps5 is super easy also.
Compared to a steamdeck, you're losing in many fields, but you're winning in price of the device, not including the ps5, and couple other things. The device is very light and feels great on your hands. Steamdeck has a good feel but has a heftier feel. Portal also has no huge fan running. It's super quiet.
Only bad things is there's no bluetooth support and external controller support.
As a dad that plays at odd times, sound is not that much of an issue and I can just play on the device. It is great!
those 1 star reviewers are probably putting their ps5 on wifi or their network is not great, but I don't have the best internet, i get 100 mbps, with my kids device, wife's phone, and the apple tv running. It's not an issue. You have to plug in your ps5 to your router for best result and not plug into a wifi extender either. You have to set yourself up for the best results. There's a reason why it's sold out.

The streaming on this thing is much better than I had originally thought. When I first got it, it was dropping frame rate a little bit so I was a little concerned. Then I realized that my PS5 was not connected via Ethernet. Once I updated it, I haven’t had many issues since. Love it.

I've been on the fence about the PlayStation Portal since it was announced, but after picking one up from Best Buy, I can confidently say it's one of the best gaming accessories I've bought in a long time. This is a must-have for any PS5 owner who shares a TV or just wants to game without being tied to the screen.

The PlayStation Portal surprised me. Streaming works smooth, graphics stay sharp, and controls feel just like a DualSense. It’s perfect for when the TV’s taken or I just want to chill in another room. Battery life’s solid, and it makes playing anywhere at home way more convenient and fun.

This makes gaming so much more convenient! The device looks and feels great, and really enhances the PS5 experience if you’re looking to enjoy your games in a different location from your usual setup. Glad I made the purchase and would recommend to anyone who might be on the fence.
