Okay device just to own I tried gaming away from home but keep getting connectivity issues and gave up the PS plus plan is cool able to play multi games online

Its awesome clear picture and feels likena controller just a tad bit bigger. And no input lag either as far as i can tell. Perfect travel buddy only downside is you need internet to play. But all in all i would recommend.

The item itself is awesome , screen so clear , can take on the go anywhere , small and reliable , i shall go on but you get the gist! Purchase , Purchase , Purchase !

The ability to play your PS5 from just about anywhere is a game changer. Provided you have a good wi-fi at home, or even away the PlayStation Portal exceeded my expectations. It works great with just about every game. There is a little bit of input lag on Call of Duty MWIII but that was expected.

There are a few dumb restrictions either built into the thing (no streaming streamed games) or there because of legal whatever (you're not going to be watching anything on here, thanks DRM laws), but otherwise a pretty good product for what it is.

With the new update it's great for streaming your games from your PS5 to your portal just make sure to hard wire your PS5 to your modem

I bought this for my daughter who plays a lot of Fortnite and hogs the livingroom TV. Now she can play in her room with zero lag. This system has a great screen, it connects seamlessly, and we have even used it at relatives homes (with strong wifi) to play remotely! For what it does, this portal is great!

Considered reviewing this as either 3 or 4 stars. Pros Grip: controls feel amazing. It's really like having a screen build into the Dual Sense. Screen: I don't believe it's OLED, but games still look spectacular and POP on this massive big screen. Sound: Sounds good, too. Works well with my new Elite PS headset or just running speakers. Connecting: Firstly, I have no idea if I can actually get this to connect to my PS5 if I'm traveling, so I'm reluctant to do so until I get a case for it. I mostly bought this device so I could play PS5 games while my kids take over the tv. Within my network, it usually works great, though sometimes I need to restart the device and/or the PS5 if it's demonstrating unplayable lag.

Works great… now. Once you do the install you have to search Reddit for the pass to get it to finish its install. Was very annoying but works great now.

Great way to game away from home. It works best if your PlayStation is plugged into an Ethernet.

Love it, the new stream games update has made this device a lot more than just a second screen for my ps5

I was hesitate about whether I should get the Portal, but after using it for a few weeks now I can say that I enjoy using it. It does give me the opportunity to play a few more indie games as I don't have decent internet for the more intensive games. I am also finding the streaming function of games to be great when I'm having a tough time connecting to my system

Gotta remember that this isn't like a Nintendo Switch, which can be played anywhere, anytime. Requiring a good internet connection changes the dynamic of this device, but the upside of that is far superior graphics to a Switch because you are playing content streamed from your PS5. You want to make sure your PS5 is connected to your router via ethernet and not wifi for best results. For me, this is a fantastic device. When I play at home, it is perfect 99% of the time. Every once in while (as in one or twice a month) I will see a small stutter in the video, but it resolves almost instantly. And even when I play way from home, as long as I have a decent internet connection, it is almost as good. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I purchased an open box item. It was of excellent condition. Looked like a brand new device. There was no damage. The device itself is working much better than what i was expecting. The gaming experience is awesome.

Recently picked up a PlayStation Portable, and it completely brought back the joy of handheld gaming for me. The design is sleek, the screen is bright, and the controls feel natural. I’ve been replaying God of War and Midnight Club, and the gameplay still holds up after all these years. It's amazing how something this old can still feel so fresh and fun. I’ve got 3 kids and finding time to play on my tv is tough…this is a great remedy. Also if you have bluetooth headphones (pulse 3d) and are close to your system you can mute the portal and listen straight from your PS5. This was a game changer and saved me $200 by not having to buy the new headphones.
