I absolutely love this device. Sony hit it out of the park with the design. However, it was a rocky implementation at first. There was crazy lag and jittery jits you had to deal with occasionally. However, this has all changed after the 4.0 OS update. Not only has the delay been resolved (no more jittery jits) but now you dont even have to connect to your PS5/PS4. The portal can now stream cloud games. Sony is beta testing now and its awesome! Highly recommended buying.

I bought this as a gift for my adult son. He loves it! He says that he was able to link it up quickly and is very happy with the ease of use, the feel of it and the graphics.

Great for playing plenty of games, with a particularly great screen, though it's not quite seamless for competitive games due to frame rate drops and other streaming hiccups. In my experience, games like Madden are fun on here... Fortnite, not so much.

I was skeptical, but it actually works well, just make sure you have good internet or youll have issues.

Great product when it’s working! I had an initial issue with lagging and WiFi which seems to be sorted out through the most recent updates. Randomly now my right joystick isn’t working which also seems to be a known ongoing issue via Reddit. When it’s working though I’ve had lots of fun. As a dad of two young kids I just don’t have the time to turn on my console anymore. This has been nice because they can watch TV and I can casually game. Hopefully we can get this resolved through Sony.

This is a great produce. The screen is awesome, the controls feel natural and just like the regular PS5 controller. I have had no connection issues and it stays connected to the PS5 well. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it seems like it could easily have more functionality to work without connecting to a console or the PlayStation Plus library (apps, media, etc).

1 player games without having to play against someone online work amazingly! It was the thing I didn’t know I needed. Graphics are great and the big screen is very helpful. You do need a fast wifi connection for it to be succesful.

The truth about the PlayStation portal is that despite the fact that as far as I'm concerned no matter how you configure your network and all of the things that you will eventually find out online when you researched it they tell you to do to make it work in the best. There is going to be some input lag. I wouldn't recommend using this for advanced online play this is not something that you want to go play call of duty on. But the ability to take your games and do some lower level things and all of the things that you need to do from the comfort of your couch or the bathroom or wherever you use it you can't beat it. To me it is still indispensable and if I ever could find a way to get rid of that input lag it would be constant use

The PS portal does it's job as advertised. Great screen quality, weight, and battery (if you take the constant light and control vibration). It's a great addition to all my gadgets.

Love it! I'm now able to game freely around the house while the main TV is occupied. Was a little laggy but that went away as soon as I connected my PS5 to the Internet via Ethernet cable

Very good graphics, it takes some doing to get it connected, so you're going to have to contact PlayStation. Technical support? Were there going to help you change a couple things in the network? So you can open it up without it continually lagging, and then you're going to have to call whoever you're Internet provider is, and you're going to have to have them open up some portals so that the playStation portal will work without any lagging issues.

The PlayStation portal is a nice addition to the accessories section. This is solely for utilizing the remote play function. So here we go with the pros: excellent use of the ps5 controller, excellent home wifi connection remote play and great screen resolution. So the cons: poor input on controller when not utilizing home wifi, must have ps5 hardwired while utilizing the wifi on portal, and disconnects to often when utilizing other wifi outside of home with 10-15 mbs. I recommend purchasing this on sale for $99. If you have the money to waste, go ahead and buy now. The ifea is terrific, but where is the function to play offline. The option to have a dedicated hard drive for single player offline games is a must which is rare due to online services.

Look the device, especially now with the new update. Play on the go and continue from where i left off on the ps5.
