Really love the controls and the design overall of the device, however, my Internet is not reliable enough to consistently hold a signal with my PS five. I found that streaming games over the cloud was actually better than remote play. However, remote play was the primary reason I bought it. For some reason, the remote play app on my Lenovo Legion go S actually performance is way more consistently than this device did. I’m not sure why it could just come down to the Wi-Fi chip being more current. Still I would recommend this device if you have a really solid mesh network in your home.

This product is extremely difficult to change player acts, u have to first have ur PS5 on...mislead bc it seemed to b like the switch that u can play anywhere l, u can not, its ok if 1 person uses a ps5, wouldnt recommend due to changing users on it and having ur ps5 on first

Ok, this is overall fantastic and opens up a lot of new options for gamers, especially those with families. My two big complaints are: headphones connections and screen refresh rate. You CANNOT pair any bluetooth headsets you own with this device. They are using proprietary tech (as is tradition) called Sony Link, and only two headphones currently exist, sort of, that have this in them. The earbuds dont release until December and last i checked the earmuffs version doesnt come out until next year, and the earbuds are $200. So, same price as this device. . . They should have replaced the Sony Link with standard bluetooth, but Sony has long been in the practice of using proprietary tech in their products which inevitably hurts the consumers. Anyone remember their Memory Stick Duo??! Here we go again. As for the refresh rate, while it isn’t as common, its becoming more and more so with each passing year that games are running at 120 frames per second, needing screens with 120 hz refresh rates. This is something less than that. After playing years of Rocket League on the PS5 at 120 FPS, it is God awful trying to play at anything less. Played half a match and quit due to this. Dont get me wrong, the input lag from the Portal is virtually nonexistant. In this case, it’s the screen’s refresh rate holding it back and bottlenecking the experience. . . Other than those two things, this is a great product

It’s a great device but a lot of caveats. The dual sense feedback is not strong like the standalone controller. Screen is awesome, 1080p and great color accuracy. But it really comes down to your WiFi speeds for streaming quality and there’ll always be an input lag no matter what. Last but not least, it’s quite comfortable to hold!

The PlayStation Portal introduces a brand new way to play your PlayStation 5 games whenever you may be sharing your TV with others in your household. The Portal comes with a pretty decent sized screen which allows you to get a better view of all of your favorite games. My favorite part about it is that it carries over all of the dual sense features that you would normally have in the dualsense controller. I would highly recommend this if your console is hooked up via an ethernet and/or your house provides excellent bandwidth if running via Wi-Fi. The portal does not contain any internals that boost the performance so for anyone thinking about buying this product I would say test PS remote play on your mobile device first.

A must if you get this is a solid internet network or don’t bother. But if you do, it’s a great device for playing games away from your PS5. And if you have the highest PlayStation Plus, you can stream games without connecting to your PS5. I love my Portal
