It's perfect and good on the go! Would definitely recommend this!

Got this for my son, specifically to keep the peace in the house as I watch college football on fall Saturdays and he’s itching to play on his PS5. What sold me is the ability to now stream games (with PS+ online membership) from a growing library of games. Some slight latency issues, as with all streaming game systems, but it’s been a great experience. Well built. Basically a controller built around the screen.

I purchased this not thinking I would use it is much as I have. This frees you from being tied down to the TV in the spot you have your PS5 hooked up at. I can be laying in bed playing games, while my wife is watching TV.
It does have some limitations. You do need a stable WiFi for it to work flawlessly. It can lag at times, but for the most part it works great. I do not play many PvP games on it, as there can be a slight lag that can pop up can make or break your game. But it works great for single player games.

Really love the controls and the design overall of the device, however, my Internet is not reliable enough to consistently hold a signal with my PS five. I found that streaming games over the cloud was actually better than remote play. However, remote play was the primary reason I bought it. For some reason, the remote play app on my Lenovo Legion go S actually performance is way more consistently than this device did. I’m not sure why it could just come down to the Wi-Fi chip being more current. Still I would recommend this device if you have a really solid mesh network in your home.

There's pros and cons but you have to remember it's $200. If you have weak wifi, don't even bother playing, it's horrible. However, if you're connected to fast wifi the portal works great. It's a bigger Nintendo switch with better graphics and better games. If you want something that's versatile and media app friendly, spend the extra money on a steam deck or the aids rog. Those are about triple the cost but can do more. This is cheaper than a switch, so yes expect it to do less. It's advertise to be a remote play controller, and it's good at doing that. On good wifi, latency is fast. Lag isn't really there

Pretty cool handheld, wish it would come with it's own games like a switch. Connectivity with the ps5 isn't always the greatest. And I have premium wifi and internet.

I like the design its easy to use as a long time playstation and controller user comfortable to use and easy to set up, some annoyances that come with it is nothing major or bad enough not to recommend but a bit of a pain when it comes to visual quality dropping with me playing it in another room with constant unstable network connection dropping remote play visual quality
