I've been using it for a few months now and it works really well for what I need it for. My PS5 is hard wired in so I haven't had an issue with connectivity. I've used the portal while my PS5 stayed at home over 90 miles away with little to no lag on games like Madden, Helldivers, COD, and others. I would recommend this strictly if you want to be able to play your games and you don't always have access to your tv.

Loving the purchase.
travel a lot so remote play is awesome.
the screen is much better than the switch.
BUT it doesn't have storage, replaceable joysticks ends, and performance can be non-existent if you don't have FAST wifi.

Good device as long as your connection is strong. Not good for playing competitive online games, for me, I get to much lag issues and frame skips on this. But playing an offline game it is wonderful to be able to use this anywhere that has a WiFi connection that's strong enough to connect to your home PS5.

Over all a nice way to remote play all your PS games. But if you don’t have a strong WiFi signal in your home or apt it will disconnect and reconnect to your PlayStation. If you take it with you on vacation the connection to your PS5 will depend on your WiFi signal were you are.

I was a little disappointed at first. I purchased it and went on the road 2 day later. I did a quick setup but not a complete setup as i should've. I had no gaming for that entire week.
I returned home to return the Portal, but decided to check myself. Luckily i did. Bad programming on my part. The system works great. Its like having my PS5 with me at all times. Great buy.

PlayStation Portal is a great add-on device for the PS5. Usability is limited to high speed internet connections which can make for lackluster gameplay in random hotspots.
The 8 1/2 inch screen delivers a sensational visual experience but the distance between hand grips is too far for a comfortable hand position.

This is an amazing little device that's well worth the $200. It's not as feature rich as the Steam Deck or other hand-helds, but again, the price reflects that. It feels great in the hands, I have zero lag and if you want to play PS5 while someone else takes over the TV, this is the solution. I knocked one star off of quality because it's not an OLED screen (but that would've increased the price).

Very cool little device, updated to no longer need a PS5 to operate but the cloud streaming is in beta so you'll only have a small selection of games to stream. Screen is beautiful despite being 1080p and no hdr support. Not a portable PS5 but still pretty neat.

Excellent companion to the PS5. I have only used the device on my home Wi-Fi so far, so I can't speak to how well the portal travels. Everything has worked great so far, and I love the option to play on the front porch or on the couch while something else is on the TV. I'm glad I purchased this. Battery life is good and the unit itself feels like a quality device. Games do look great on the screen as well.

Excellent device. A must if you’re having to share the TV. A bonus if you have PS plus premium and play streamed games from anywhere. If it can be helped, make sure to have your PS5 hardwired to your router/modem. Happy gaming!

It has been next to impossible to get this thing when it first came out, but now that I have it, I'm thoroughly happy and understand why this was so hard to get. My only grips is that I wish the wifi would connect to more places, but it's still a great product for me when I am out somewhere else, and able to play my PS5 games on the go.

Great product for what it is designed to do. Great for gaming when you also want to watch TV or have children who utilize the TV as well. Less disruptive for late night gaming if you don't have a whole living area to occupy.
Can also be used on the road if you work away from home often. For only $200 compared to other gaming consoles very good - even if it needs a PS5. If you already have a PS5 it's a great add on.
