I've been on the fence about the PlayStation Portal since it was announced, but after picking one up from Best Buy, I can confidently say it's one of the best gaming accessories I've bought in a long time. This is a must-have for any PS5 owner who shares a TV or just wants to game without being tied to the screen.

With the new update it's great for streaming your games from your PS5 to your portal just make sure to hard wire your PS5 to your modem

Amazing plays really well and you don't have to be right by your ps5 it just have to be in rest mode my bf love it

I knew what i was buying when i bought it, so my disappointment is really in myself. It is BEAUTIFUL and has a great screen, great controls, feels good in the hands, but just being a streaming device SUX!!! Playing your PS5 in your own house with the Portal works amazing, playing in a hotel room is sketchy at best, pick your game appropriately. Network heavy games, from the portal over a hotel network to your machine at home, etc etc, is going to lag, single player games are still going to lag but you won't miss much. If you are getting this for travel, rethink it. If you are getting this for connections between 2 homes, it should be ok.

Has some great uses but the lack of internal storage is disappointing.

Great way to game away from home. It works best if your PlayStation is plugged into an Ethernet.

So much better now that it supports online gaming versus remote play.

The PlayStation portal is a Great device. It allows you to play your PlayStation 5 without being tethered to the TV. Since I've had it that it's been my favorite way to play my PlayStation in a way. However, that comes at a cost sometimes. If the internet is not great then it suffers because it is a remote player, not a stand-alone console. If you're downloading something else while trying to stream at the same time, your game play suffers. However, when things are great with this device, things are really great. The visual quality is great. The gameplay feels like a PlayStation. 5. Dual sense in your hand. The screen puts out very well, so I think that if you were to buy it, knowing that this is not a Nintendo switch, where's a standalone device okay? If you're okay with that, then you should have no problems with this device because it is quite fine.

Very fun addition for PS5 owners! It’s nice being able to use my TV for movies while still enjoying my favorite games on the couch! Would be great if Sony would make a standalone hand held, but this gets the job done for now. As always, bestbuy is great to work with.

Excellent mobile device for playing your games when you are not home, make sure that your data plan is compatible with the system first or you will have to go a different route in order to connect to internet. The design is great since it gives you all the functions of holding a dualsense as well. Streaming games without a ps5 is great, but it’s expensive when you have to have the premium subscription to use it. Other then that, if you library is vast, you will enjoy everything remotely

For fun on the go... nothing beats my portal. I love the fact that i can play everything on my playstation while i am away.

Love it, the new stream games update has made this device a lot more than just a second screen for my ps5

This easy to take when traveling. My son loves being able to play while in the car.

Was surprise how big the screen is. I thought it was smaller from the videos and pictures I saw but in person it’s definitely bigger

While the handgeld has some comfortable controls and came in at a steal during Black Friday, the portal has issues baked into its design that diminish its potential value. The handheld is streaming only as opposed to being able to download your library onto it directly. Not only that but the analog sticks can be fragile, a disapointing fact when considering the cost of the handheld when bought at its MSRP.

Works great… now. Once you do the install you have to search Reddit for the pass to get it to finish its install. Was very annoying but works great now.

I love this thing when it works well. Network stability can be an issue sometime. Its great for playing RPGs

Overall the system is amazing but im having and impossible time getting it to connect to my PS5.

My upload speeds are not quite good enough to stream from my PS5 but streaming from PlayStation cloud is flawless. Loving it so far
